The legendary action star is left to steal the show during the final act. Still, the other people onscreen are just funny enough to carry the material forward until his arrival. Shot in the mockumentary style, "Killing Gunther" tries to have a little something more going for it than just the laughs and action parody sequences. The movie explores the reason as to why these people would want to kill the world's best hitman in the first place. Something that isn't as satisfying as it could be due to the fact that it all hangs on the main character's desire to get revenge, and he's easily the least likable person onscreen.

The jokes are of a pretty simplistic nature. There are some throw-up gags and constant buffoonery at the hands on these surprisingly inept professional killers. It's pretty silly stuff, but it works. You can see it's not exactly the most sophisticated or expensively made movie out there, but it's executed just well enough to still a good time. Especially when Arnie finally appears onscreen. Be sure to sit through the credits to hear one of the funniest country-parody songs ever, curtesy of the Terminator himself.

The whole movie felt like a parody of a documentary. Which is a fresh thing and didn't do the movie any harm. The actors did a painfully average performance, except for Arnold. The actors did a painfully average performance, except for Arnold. But it's really sad that they didn't give Arnold enough screen time. And at the end when the did it was just so forced, it felt like they just shoved it in there. The director's style, was pretty good with the shaky cam, which made it more immersive while the action scenes where rolling. But sadly this documentary like- 3rd person shooting shaky cam style is an agglomerated diction these days, so it's nothing out of the ordinary. The script was very basic, very narrow. The movie was entertaining because just not enough. It's wasn't fun to watch to the end, it got very chore like after the first 20 minutes. Fortunately it's pretty short and has no pacing issues. The visual looked awful, so bad that it looked that it was cut out of cardboard.(2/10) The humor was really lacking given the fact that this was supposedly a comedy, it was pretty serious, basically it was forcefully serious. The plot was very simple no twist, just right at the end, which you could have seen it coming from a mile. But a positive thing that saves the whole thing from being even worse of a movie is the fact that it didn't feel repetitive, nor cheesy and it wasn't cliche. Sadly Arnold couldn't save this film from sinking in it's faults. It has no message whatsoever, it's just a blow up cheap movie. Overall it's a below average movie, which is better if remains unseen. Sorry Arnold. Expand

Finally watched this film, & honestly, it was stupid. Funny but still stupid. But I do enjoy Arnie films where he laughs at himself so to speak.

Yeah, I see the point and what they are trying but it just doesn’t work. Sure there are some funny parts but they’re few and far between.
