Finally.. After so many efforts.. DC was able to collect more than 3 Superheroes in a movie. But did it create the magic Marvel’s Avengers was able to.? You’ll find out very soon.. here only.. :P

So, Justice League.. Hmmm.. Why DC.? WHY.? One good movie, all the critics around the world was Happy after you gave us Wonder Woman.. And next WHY Snyder.? After watching his (this) 3rd debacle, I say “HE SHOULD RETIRE FROM DIRECTION.” Disappointed Direction as usual.. :D

->>> Things I liked:-

~ 2-3 Superb sequences with Flash.. As you all know, “SUPERMAN LIVES” Yippyyy.. :3 And Yes, I mentioned Superman.. In Flash’s column.!! Watch the surprise in theater ;)

~ Villain was Powerful. I thought without Superman, others don’t stand a chance defeating him.. And what is Justice League w/o Superman.? Pfffff.. :D

~ And WONDER WOMAN :* :3

->>> Disappointed Things (there is global audience for Things I didn’t like so):-

~ Aqua-man was Okay Man.. :D He didn’t do anything with “Aqua” as his name suggests, rather than swimming in ocean for trailer purposes.. :D

~ Cyborg had some more scenes than Aquaman.. Just more scenes.. Nothing exciting there..

~ Flash has sequences BUT other than that, his comic timing was FLAT. I did’t chuckle ‘much’ at his jokes. TV’s Flash Grant Gustin is Way Much Better..

~ Batman’s butler Alfred, Superman’s Girl Miss Lane, His Mom Martha, Commissioner Gordon, Cyborg’s Dad, Amber Heard :D all of them had minor screen time..

~ I was surprised to see Batman & WW also didn’t have much exciting screen presence.. You know, when you see a Superhero, it should Feel like Superhero.. Or at least a human being with their respective flaws.. But DC has this Special Ability to Overdramatize scenes.. Well done..

Hufffff.. At last, want to say, Enjoyed fight sequences, Flash’s sequences & Wonder Woman ;) :3 :*

Rating is.. No drum rolls this time.. Better if you’re drunk..

Peace V

Although some of the CGI and the rapid pace of action scenes were a bit letting off towards the last act, the league stands out as a whole on whose shoulders the movie marches well forward. Every character shines and makes this movie worth investing your time at the cinemas whether regardless of being a comic book fan or mainstream. Ezra's Flash was a real charm and not to mention Superman's actual moment which was the biggest USP that satisfies hardcore fans like myself. Expand

As a comic book reader, I enjoyed the movie and I was thoroughly entertained. The movie is epic, maintains its' serious tone, and still manages to make you laugh with humor without it becoming a parody. You can definitely see Joss Whedon's additions to the movie which lightens Snyder's more serious tone. I read some of the reviews from critics and I had to wonder if we even saw the same movie. The Justice League’s enemy wasn’t Steppenwolf but lackluster writing, haphazard directing and an incoherent narrative. Not even Wonder Woman could lasso this disaster out of harm’s way

Its pacing often feels rushed (thanks to Warner Bros' insistence that the movie be under 2 hours), the CGI is painfully obvious (some of the post-production work on Clark's face is meme bait), and Steppenwolf isn't exactly a villain to write home about. That said, it's also got plenty of entertainment value. It's considerably lighter than Zack Snyder's other two DCEU films, the characters all have good chemistry with one another and are given their own moment to shine, and it's exciting in that "superheroes coming together to save the world" way, much like "The Avengers" was. If you've dreamed your whole life of seeing the Justice League come together on the big screen, you're unlikely to be disappointed, so long as you adjust your expectations. Expand

The atmosphere and cinematography were top notch. Reshoots and CGI could perhaps have been better in places, but in what movie in this decade isn't that the case? I also missed the Zimmer music in places it would have fit nicely, including the cornfield scene where one of the Man of Steel pieces was used. That's all that really bothered me, other than the film could have perhaps been longer. Batman was a pleasure to watch. Wonder Woman has several amazing moments. The Flash was funny and endearing. Aquaman managed to actually make me interested in his upcoming film, and that alone is a feat, as he was never a character that interested me. A certain someone was the 'S'tar of it all, as I believe was always intended, and more how people wished him. Steppenwolf served his purpose of being a menacing plot device to frame the formation of the League, also.

Just seeing the League interact on screen, and mythical heroes duking it out in ways and on a scale you just don't see elsewhere, was a pleasure. I plan to see the movie several more times.

This movie shows the hero in there more pure way, caring about the people and saving them. the action scenes, the league working together are just wonderful to watch. The story is simple, the villain is nothing new, although that i like it, it semmed like a semi-boss, felt threatening and you believed that he could destroy all members of the league, almost. The movie shows hope and optimism, a lot of jokes and light moments that worked well in the most. I really enjoyed watching this movie and when i get out of the movie theater i was just smilling around. Expand

The chemistry between the members of the Justice League and how they work together is amazing to see on the big screen. The cgi for Steppenwolf looks straight from a video game. If you thought Ares in Wonder Woman was bad, this is even worst but seeing them beat the **** out of him makes it up. This is a lot more lighter in tone compared to the other DC movies and its definitely in the right direction. There is some hints of studio meddling by making them cut it down to around 2 hours which ruins the pacing of the film. The scene stealers have to be Jason Mamoa as Aquaman and Ezra Miller as The Flash and someone else which I cannot say to avoid spoilers. There is a particular scene where The Flash and this person interacts that had the whole theater roaring in laughter like how the Hulk interacted with Loki in The Avengers. The score is a really big treat for this film. Danny Elfman incorporates themes of the past that we are familiar with into this score like the original Superman theme and of course Tim Burtons Batman theme. This is a really fun movie and I highly recommend people to give it a try even if they thought the last couple movies were lame because this movie is getting a bunch of bad rep due to the critics score. Do not let bias pre meditated opinions dictate your choice of seeing this film just because you love Marvel more than DC. You can like both and it is possible. Thor Ragnorak was a fun ride and I enjoyed it and Justice League is also a really fun ride also. PS: There is 2 stinger after credit scenes at the end. Expand

Its incredible how they take this seriously but without being dark.

The animated series in movie form, every character has its time to shine and doesnt feel repetitive.

It proves that it doesnt have to be dumb or full of jokes to be good.

It offers bite-sized bits of fun in its action and character dialogue, but ultimately proves to be a clumsy attempt at brightening up the atmosphere of Snyder's DC universe. It is unrewarding and shallow at anything it tries to explore.

-THEME-

The film opens with an amateur recording of Cavill's Superman, offering his cheerful wisdom (of which he had none in his previous two films) in a dialogue about hope and car keys, suggesting that the central theme of the movie is hope. And since his passing in BvS, the world was rocked into anxiety and distress.

This theme, however, was never explored any further. The movie never shows the emotion of hope draining or rejuvenating our characters. In the end, the movie has no theme to revolve around, resorting instead into a mindless fight of good and evil, where our heroes race to stop Steppenwolf in his conquest to gather three loot boxes and destroy the earth... for no reason other than "because I am Steppenwolf".

-CHARACTERS-

Steppenwolf himself proved to be a very forgettable wet blanket of a villain, with one-note dialogue that revolves around the words "box" and "destroy". He does not provide the protagonists with moral or philosophical quandary.

On the other hand, a few of our protagonists (specifically Miller’s Barry Allen, Gadot’s Wonder Woman, and Momoa’s Aquaman) provided the movie with its better parts. The movie is at its strongest points when it explores their characters, allowing us glimpses into the kinds of people each of the Leaguers are. This endeavour proved shallow because none of them were never really presented with a conflict that challenges their beliefs. Having spent much of their earlier screen time as friends who have nothing to challenge the others about, the culmination of the story fizzles unrewardingly as they “finally” unite against their common foe. There is no buildup, no lessons learned by anyone, that led to this point.

Much like Wonder Woman in BvS, Superman felt like an item on a checklist. His resurrection was – say it with me – unrewarding. The impact of his death was not explored sufficiently. The impact and consequences of his resurrection seemed trivial. Justice League was an unrewarding experience, and if you don’t care enough for action blockbusters or superero films, you’re off not spending any time and money for this movie. Snyder/DC’s diehard fans will still find some things to enjoy in this movie.

Justice League is brighter, bolder and simpler; but what it lacks in grandiose subtlety, it makes up with in tiny details. The compassion of Wonder Woman, Batman's courage, Flash's earnesty, Aquaman's raw power and Cyborg's determination. The leaguers all struggle with their own darkness but together, they're mighty. And that's how it is with this movie as well. Noticeable flaws, compensated by powerful moments and some touches of genius. Snyder's determination is evident, as he and the cast combine to produce a dedicated performance that shines even through Joss Whedon's honestly appalling reshoots and vulgar humour. Plagued by a meh villain, a rushed plot and some deus ex machina; Justice League is buoyed by five determined performances, great character interactions and one, VERY incredible Superman.

A must watch for all.

The movie is very enjoyable and fun thanks to the action and its characters.

It has many incredible easter eggs.
Comedy does not feel forced.
Cyborg stands out a lot.
The appearance of Superman is impressive.

I can't believe how the DCEU has the ability to ruin comic book cinematic events, with Batman v Superman, they ruined what should've been the most awaited moment for comic book fans, the comic book crossover of the century, and they turned it into a pretentious, boring, convoluted mess of a movie and now with Justice League they ruined what should've been THE comic book crossover of the century and turned it into a convoluted, unfunny, cheap-looking, boring movie.

But it was kind of expected, the DCEU was already ruined and all the messes they made with previous movies would naturally make this movie turn out to be pretty bad.
The pacing is just horrible, the plot is generic and cliché (Oh, the villain has to get an item that will make him destroy the universe how creative), there's no character development, the Justice League has zero chemistry and there's no conflict. Like, everyone is just okay with being a team now, they're all happy and good friends now and will destroy Steppenwolf together. Steppenwolf is one of the most generic and cliché villains I've ever seen since Apocalypse from X-Men Apocalypse, I swear 99% of his lines are cliché villain lines and even the way the actor portrays him is cliché and cartoonish.
The CGI is TERRIBLE and makes Cyborg look awkward to watch, and you might say it's not that bad but it is considering the HUGE budget this movie was made with.
Batman is wasted and that's one of the worst things in this movie, Batman was awesome in Batman v Superman and was one of the only goof things about that movie but here, he's just there, he doesn't do anything, he barely has any screentime when he's in the Batman suit.

Nothing about this movie is good and it's one of the most disappointing movies I've ever seen, I expected so much from this movie and that just makes my feelings about this movie even worse. I don't give it a 0/10 because that's only reserved for movies that I seriously can't watch.

Expand

The film felt so rushed, the script was pretty meh. The heroes although not bad was kind of not really well developed (aside from the heroes who were already introduced). The villain is so bad and is easily one of the most forgettable villains in any comic book movie. And the soundtrack was honestly just average which is disappointing considering the fact it is from Danny Elfman who used to produce great soundtracks. They somehow made Steppenwolf look worse with more money and more time and now his voice doesn't sound like the actor that voiced him whatsoever, which is unfortunate. The movie spends a lot of time building up a better background for each character, and that's probably the best part. Ray Fisher actually seemed likeable this time around, whereas his character was the worst in Whedon's version. Ezra Miller is still a trash actor trying his best to be Tom Holland, which isn't someone I'd aspire to act like, at least not his version of Spiderman. They both lost their ADHD meds and took cocaine as a substitute. At least in the Flash's case it kind of makes sense, but it is still annoying and does not make him an endearing character. If you were looking for an amazing film, you're not going to find it in this cut. If you were looking for a slight improvement with much more background, you will find that. If you love really bad CGI, they swapped out awful Superman for awful Steppenwolf, so you won't be disappointed!

4/10

I'd like to add that I believe D.C.'s characters other than Batman do not make for good film making. They are often overpowered to the point that all of the tension is removed as you know they will never be harmed. Even Superman's death was always known to be a joke. D.C.'s villains have very similar issues as well and them losing always seems so contrived, pathetic, and campy, just as the final few blows in the fight with Steppenwolf were.

On a whole it really wasn't good enough, the antagonist was a joke, like Ares in Wonder Woman. Gal Gadot still can't act, who is Cyborg? Where is Green Lantern, Affleck just isn't Batman.

Some okay action, chuckle-worthy moments, and the cast give it their best shot but at the end of the day, JL is crushingly average with some baffling creative choices.

I just had trouble caring about what was going on in the plot. It felt very choppy and rushed in the first 3/4 with bland exposition heavy dialogue. There are some moments of humanity througout (mostly from Cyborg and Wonder Woman) but they are few and far between.

I found Barry Allen annoying as hell and while Jason Momoa is charismatic as Aquaman, his character didn't really serve much purpose to the plot outside of being brute comic relief.

What is kinda weird is that Zack Snyder films are usually blessed with grade A visuals but JL was surprisingly weak in this department. Most of the action fails to excite and is un-inventive.

There are also plenty of shockingly artificial-looking CGI and green screen effects shots that looked like they needed another rendering pass.

Let's not even get into Henry Cavill's uncanny-valley stiff upper lip.

The villain Steppenwolf also looked terrible (in addition to just being a bland villain on the whole) and reminded me of the Enchantress' brother from Suicide Squad.

I didn't come out necessarily disliking JL, but given this is the first live-action rendition of the first superhero team, this should have been so much more better and eventful.

Instead it's draggy, anti-climactic and forgettable.

But now having seen a version from its real director, it is genuinely shocking how many things, both large and small were changed by the uncredited stand in director Joss Whedon. And none of them for the better. Rewatching this version after the Snyder version, this feels like the lame quip filled, extra interpersonal conflict, overly comedic attempt at the same movie that it really is... which is doubly strange since this is the original theatrical film. I won't say cut, because this film is more than just a shorter theatrical version, at least half this Whedon movie wasn't in the real director's final movie, and much that was felt completely different through different framing, tone, music, dialogue, lighting, coloration, cgi, etc... and again all of it worse in this version. So as I said, in a vacuum when it came out, this was a meh maybe 4 or 5 rating. But now it lives in a world where the real movie was released, and this store brand version was revealed for the lame attempt at the same story it really was and that it really should never have been made... After the huge success of Disney and Marvel Comics’ The Avengers on the big screen in 2012, Warner Bros. and DC Comics make their own team superhero movie for the fifth instalment in DC Extended Universe featuring iconic DC Comics superheroes teaming up together for the first time on the big screen.

After the events of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the world still mourns Superman’s death and humanity now fear something bad will happen soon now that their saviour is gone for good. They are correct. Steppenwolf (Hinds) and his army of Parademons from Apokolips have begun their invasion of Earth and successfully retrieve one of the three Mother Boxes guarded by the Amazons in Themyscira.

After learning that Steppenwolf have return to Earth from the Amazons, Diana Prince/Wonder Woman (Gadot) meets up with Bruce Wayne/Batman (Affleck) about his recent invasion and told him the history of Steppenwolf’s first invasion of Earth and his first defeat at the hands of humans, Amazons and Atlanteans. After his first defeat, the three Mother Boxes which originally belong to him were left behind and each was guarded by three factions. Batman himself has encountered a Parademon back in Gotham City.

Not powerful enough to stop Steppenwolf and his Parademons from retrieving the remaining Mother Boxes, they recruit three metahumans with superpowers which consists of Arthur Curry/Aquaman, Victor Stone/Cyborg and Barry Allen/Flash. With five of them together as a team, they must stop Steppenwolf at all cost before it is too late.

To be honest, I was kind of disappointed how the movie turned out to be. First of all, many scenes which were shown in the trailers were not in the movie at all. There are some exact same scenes from the trailers but they were replaced with different dialogues in the movie which I find it very ridiculous. Reshooting the exact same scenes just to replace with different dialogues is really wasting time, money and efforts. Those scenes from the trailers should have kept in the final cut.

The movie runtime, 120 minutes, is totally not enough time for team superhero movie. If it is a solo movie, that is acceptable but not a team movie. With that amount of runtime, there were not enough time for character developments especially for Aquaman, Cyborg and Flash since they lacked their own solo movies. With no backstories for them, they become uninteresting characters. Even Steppenwolf lacked character development for a villain, which made him the weakest villain in the franchise.

It is also fine for the movie going for a lighter tone since the previous instalments were darker tone but it also caused some inconsistency for the movie. Despite being directed by Zack Snyder, this is not exactly Zack’s movie because the tones are not exactly matched his directing style and it is more to Joss Whedon’s movie, who directed the reshoots after Zack left production due to personal tragedy. I felt that the movie should have been delayed instead of finding another director to finish the movie.

Some of the CGIs in the movie were really terrible especially for Henry Cavill. The actor has grown a moustache for his other movie role with another movie studio and was contracted to keep the moustache. Due to his contract, he was unable to shave and was forced to digitally remove the moustache which ended up much worse than I thought. It was really disgusting and odd when he smiles in the movie. It was also another reason why the movie should have been delayed.

The performances of the cast are great especially for Ezra Miller, Jason Momoa and Gal Gadot but their performance are not enough to save the quality of this movie. In addition to the quality, replacing Junkie XL with Danny Elfman as composer by Joss Whedon is a totally bad move because Elfman ended up not composing any memorable scores for the movie. If you are hoping for Director’s Cut, you might as well forget about it. In case if you are still interested, stay back for a mid-credits scene and a post-credits scene.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Back when I saw this movie, I was really confused. Most of the logic in the film made no sense:

1. Superman is better than the entire Justice League combined. Then why does Justice League even exist when Superman can do everything alone, this film will never explain.

2. Superman is equally fast, if not faster, than Flash. Then why is Flash even a thing, this film will never explain.

3. Cyborg is good enough to be in Justice League, but Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter don't even exist. Why, this film will never explain.

4. Steppenwolf's army is so weak, even the warriors of Amazon and Atlantic people can beat the hell out of them. Then how are they even a threat, this film will never explain.

5. Superman blows out of his coffin because of which his shirt and coat get burnt away, but his pants are still on, showing him shirtless. Will the same thing happen with Wonder Woman also, this film will never explain.

And most importantly,

6. HOW ON EARTH (literally) IS AQUAMAN FIGHTING OUTSIDE WATER, AND THAT TOO WITH SUCH PERFECTION!?!?!

The only good scene in this whole film was when Superman was fighting with Flash in slow motion (or rather Flash was just trying to run away from Superman) for 30 seconds. But you can just watch that scene on YouTube. And it will seem even more entertaining without any context.

But later on I learnt about how Warner Bros had brought in Joss Whedon to finish the movie while Zack Snyder had left for his daughter's death and that completely butchered the movie. And after having watched the Snyder Cut I realised this movie was even worse than what I remembered. Although I don't hate Joss Whedon the way all these toxic Snyder stans do, he did a pretty terrible work here. He literally had just one job - consult Snyder and ask what has to be done, and then add CGI to the rough cut.

I think I will rewatch this movie one more time sometime in the future, when I have nothing better to do. Then I may even reconsider adding some more points in this review that I may have forgotten to write now.

I can't believe that it is real Justice League made by famous and powerful company. Joss Whedon really downgraded this movie such a pity and shame.

This movie left me confused. No motive from the horned guy antagonist, lack of character setup (how much can you really cram in 2 hours), no real story. It seems all the fun materials are those that are in the trailer.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Well, considering that Joss Whedon made extensive changes to this movie after Zack Snyder left the project, I’m pretty unimpressed by what we got in Justice League. This first big group movie for the DCEU brings together 6 superheroes, similarly to The Avengers, to help face a world ending threat. On the surface, with Joss Whedon working on it, that all seems like a great idea considering how good the first Avengers movie was. Unfortunately, when you look at the fine print, this film doesn’t live up to any of those expectations and is a huge letdown in a lot of ways. The acting is decent but the movie doesn’t make great use of it’s A-list actors, which it has a fair amount of. The story is nothing new and the script is pretty lackluster and doesn’t really give any characters moments to shine or do something memorable. The scenes aren’t quite as bad as they were in Suicide Squad, but they only rise above them by a little bit and don’t really earn redemption from the two terrible movies of 2016, Suicide Squad and Dawn of Justice. The dialogue is weird and awkward at times which makes the movie’s attempts at humor feel iffy and come short and even a lot of the serious scenes don’t work too well either. This movie doesn’t flow smoothly in the way that The Avengers did, making it feel like a drag and be unenjoyable at times. The heroes themselves are a big problem. They are thinly written and given little backstory, so we don’t learn too much about them, which is an issue because we’ve seen very little of some of them before the movie. Only half of the heroes had substantial appearances before the movie and they needed a lot more context and screentime to work and be effective in the movie. They feel underexplored both before and during the movie, which sucks because many of these characters are iconic and well known in the DC universe. So, we have missed opportunities there. The final fight of the movie makes Steppenwolf, the villain, feel really underwhelming and doesn’t make him seem powerful enough to be a worthy adversary to the Justice League, which lowers the stakes of the movie a bit. The end of the movie is predictable and cliche and doesn’t leave any surprises or twists waiting for us. My best description for this movie that it’s a poor man’s version of The Avengers and I wouldn’t recommend watching this movie to anyone who expects the big group film quality that we’ve seen in the MCU. Senza Batman v Superman sono rimasto deluso, questo è vinto come il più grande reato del genere dei supereroi nella storia.

So if your some how not familiar with the story about this and the Snyder Cut I’ll give you a little refresher. Zack Snyder originally wanted to make this a huge epic but his daughter tragically passed away so he stepped down or was fired from the project. Warner Bros decided to hire Joss Whedon to finish the film. All caught up but if you want more info go to JoBlows YouTube channel and click the series WTF happened to this movie it goes a lot more in depth. But this is a terrible example of company greed, first off the first scene is of Superman with a CGI mouth just from that alone you know it’s going to be a train wreck. It just doesn’t get any better from there, the acting is just so plain Wonder Woman came out months before this and she was great in this movie here she’s just giving a dull performance and it shows. Can we just mention the CGI good lord it’s dreadful Steppenwolf looks god awful and so does Cyborg. Overall this is a huge mess and thank god Zack Snyder got to do his cut. Ranking Toilet Paper. This movie is pretty bad compared to the true version of it, if I'm talking about the Snyder Cut.
