If you liked that movie you should like this sequel. David Spade shows that a little more of the same isn't always a bad thing.

Perhaps there wasn't a really good reason to return to the character, but quite a few good jokes are able to be squeezed out of the concept. Some gags do drag on for a little too long though. As a result the initial amusement those particular scenarios had ends up getting snuffed out. It seems like the writers ride those jokes even when the tank is on empty. The movie also falls prey to going too juvenile. Was it really necessary to have an extended fart joke section early on? Or at all? It's moments like these that do drag the film down. However moments of stupid brilliance can lead to plenty of laughs, whether they be guilty or not.

Simply put, this is more Joe Dirt. It's not quite as funny as the original, but it still captures the same style of humor so it should bring laughs to those who enjoyed the first movie. With plenty of throwbacks thrown in it is a movie that really seems made for the fans. It's nice to see an actor have so much love for the character and his fans, even if his shtick here can feel a little stale at times. With Spade bringing more of what made Joe Dirt funny to so many and a show-stealing, hilarious Patrick Warburton, this is a sequel worth watching. So long as you were a fan of the original and/or can put up with some juvenile and dumb humor.

But this movie actually retreads on ground Joe 1 already covered. We get the same jokes, similar situations and similar outcome. The only thing I liked about this movie was the fact they got a pretty decent amount of the original cast to reprise their roles for this movie, but not even that could help the overall film. If you loved or liked Joe Dirt 1 you're not going to find that same feeling here. Watching once should be enough. Expand

Quite a dumb movie. At many parts I wanted to switch it off and stop watching. Of course if you like fart jokes and stuff like that maybe you would like the movie too - or maybe it is meant more for teenagers or whatever. Even the storyQuite a dumb movie. At many parts I wanted to switch it off and stop watching. Of course if you like fart jokes and stuff like that maybe you would like the movie too - or maybe it is meant more for teenagers or whatever. Even the story itself was a bit dumb and cliche. Still somewhat made me not switch it off and watch it all, so instead of 1, I give it 3 out of 10 Expand

Not the movie I was hoping for. It's worth watching if you've already seen the first one and have 2 hours to kill but be warned the movie starts off really slow with only a couple of minor funny gags and instances to keep you glued to your seat and then drags on till the end.The story doesn't really start moving along till 45 minutes into it but the plot also starts to become less coherent as you go on.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Major Spoilers below!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Somewhere in the beginning of the movie Joe Dirt gets sucked into a twister right after he runs into his trailer to get something for his daughter and somehow ends up back in time. While trying to figure out what's going on he gets chased throughout the movie by some Bikers but they don't really do anything to him except threaten him a few times and Joe manages to give them the slip very quickly and easily whenever they catch up. Most of what happens in this movie doesn't make any sense.Kid Rock's not in it but there's another guy in the movie that's either playing as the same character Kid Rock Played from the previous movie or just happens to be playing a very similar character. You don't see him much throughout the film but somehow he manages to steal away Brandi in this alternate time-line,destroy Silver Town and become a millionaire in the process with very little explanation as to how he manages to pull it all off. Instead of having some final confrontation between Joe Dirt and the "Kid Rock replacement character" he goes off to have sex with 3 women never to be seen or heard from again.

At the end of the movie Joe Dirt finds his girlfriend high upstairs in the "Kid Rock replacement characters" Mansion and she rambles on about something and Joe learns there's a moral to this tale and it's that If your a Loser that let's people fart on you, do nothing to change that cause the people that care about you will stick by you anyway. Then Joe wakes up in a lawn chair with no explanation as to how he survived the twister cause I think the idea is that he just fell asleep and dreamed the twister scenario which doesn't make sense cause he hits his head while trying to get to the trailer during a twister which would mean that the twister wasn't a part of the dream unless they both(Joe and his trailer) traveled back to the future together or he was experiencing a It's a wonderful Life type of scenario which would make sense too since they reference it before he wakes up or goes back to the present time-line but that wouldn't explain the twister or the rest of the movie.
The ending doesn't make a whole lot of sense. The first movie was soooo much better, I wish they would have left it at that. This movie is all fan service and adds nothing to the first movie and hardly feels like a sequel. As bad as the script was the acting itself was great and there are two really funny parts in this movie that you have to see(one involving an airplane bathroom and another involving popcorn).
