This is not a good movie. But it is not that far off from one. The basic story is fine for the genre. There are some scary moments. It holds your attention. There are some scary moments. It holds your attention. But there are some glaring problems with editing, Foley sound, acting, makeup and special effects. The lead actor is absolutely terrible, but he is good looking and has a great physique. Some of the supporting acting is fine or good, some of it is like a high school play. The editing is so choppy and disjointed that one wonders who was overseeing the editor. There are moments of good special effects and makeup and moments when those technical elements are glaringly amateurish. There clearly was too much money spent on custom body panels and a 60's style hood for the modified Camaro that looks like it is trying out for Transformers (and we are supposed to believe that it is the main character's great design), money that should have been spent on acting lessons, hiring a real editor and having a professional writer look at the script. But Jinn is ultimately doomed by the vanity of the writer/director/editor/producer behind it. He is so inept at most of the tasks that it is at times comical. But because it was his money behind most of this, nobody dared tell the emperor that he was naked.… Expand

Exceptionally bad. I was excited at the concept of this film since most Westerners don't know much about the mysterious "jinn" from desert and Islamic folklore. The actors were terrible, the music scoring sounded like something off ofExceptionally bad. The actors were terrible, the music scoring sounded like something off of Spotify, the dialogue was weak and without feeling, and above all, the plot was full of holes and poor execution.

It was painful to watch this cool concept get destroyed.… Expand

This is by far one of the worst horror movies ever made. I have seen B movies that have more potential. The script, the dialogues, the characters are all forgettable. After suffering through the first 60 minutes, I was left completely mind boggled by this horrible attempt at a movie. This movie would have been better without a director. All the guy did was make a stupid camaro and parade it around town. He put himself in the movie because he knew it would be the only time anyone would see him on screen. Overall, the acting, writing, directing, and soundtrack were all garbage. Please don't watch this abomination of a motion picture even if they give you a free ticket. Hopefully the jinns don't get me for watching this insulting spectacle.… Expand

Never watched it completely the first time but now that I have, it's not bad. But it's also not that great. Definitely one of those if it's on TV watch type of deals.
