Lack of cast diversity and not enough inclusivity completely ruins this film. I know that they are trying to be realistic but we must embrace diversity, inclusion and equity (DIE).

I really enjoyed it, Cranston was good in this, I liked what it was about, I liked the story behind it. Yes maybe the story wasn't the most thriller type, but I thoroughly enjoyed watching this movie.

Although Bryan Cranston and Annette Bening are splendid company as the leads in this story, the film itself cannot hide how mundane it actually is.

Its quality is fairly average. Well made, of course, but it could have been released on any streaming service, and on any of them it would have gone completely unnoticed.

Jerry & Marge Go Large is a film that seems only interested in satisfying its audience in the moment, with no concern that you'll forget about it immediately.
It may be worth it for many on a weekend and because its lead actors, but overall, this film adds nothing to their careers beyond their paychecks in their bank accounts.… Expand

Prestes a completar 42 anos na mesma empresa, Jerry prepara-se para a aposentadoria, mas obviamente sua menteUm simpático filme protagonizado por um casal de idosos, tudo isso baseado em fatos reais, que torna a história bem mais divertida.
Prestes a completar 42 anos na mesma empresa, Jerry prepara-se para a aposentadoria, mas obviamente sua mente agitada não o permitirá ficar quieto. Ele, então, ao acaso, descobre que um jogo de loteria possui uma brecha matemática quando o prêmio é acumulado, permitindo lucrar com isso. Assim, ele funda uma empresa e passa a vender cotas para lucrar em cima disso.
Um roteiro tão simples quanto absurdo, e que norte-americanos eram ruins em geografia até sabíamos, mas em matemática é uma novidade. O filme tem aquela pegada ágil, de cortes feitos para a história ir avançando sem perder o ritmo. Tanto que, entre uma aposta e outra, são vários dias de intervalo, já que o prêmio apenas compensa quando acumula, mas a edição do filme é esperta e faz passar o tempo sem nos cansarmos. A direção sabe que tem um filme leve nas mãos, muito mais voltado para a comédia da situação absurda do que para discutir a crise de meia idade, o que é um triunfo para o filme, saber se ver tal como é.
A trama ganha em conflito quando uns estudantes de Harvard também decidem entrar no esquema, e tudo isso vai acontecendo até que a fonte literalmente seque.
Não há nada de mais aqui para ser contado. Claro que há os dramas familiares típicos de um casal de idosos que de uma hora para outra se vêm sozinhos, tentando preencher o vazio existencial de suas vidas, mas ao optar pela comédia, qualquer tentativa de mergulho mais denso na vida retratadas ficou em segundo plano, e aí o que resta é um passatempo escapista e esquecível.
Um filme que é simpático pelos protagonistas e pelos personagens secundários bem construídos, mas que ao final da projeção, pouco terá a acrescentar. Só diversão mesmo.… Expand

I probably should've stopped watching 10 minutes in. The story itself was decently interesting. Didn't like any of the characters at all, except Larry Wilmore. Dialogue was lame. Filme com uma história legal, e no momento em que parece que algo bom vai surgir no filme (os concorrentes) vc pensa que vem algo surpreendente, mas o filme não decola e termina... uma comédia romantica fraca...
