Horrible movie. Cody's allegory n meaning behind making the movie was admirable but didn't translate through the film. Some funny parts but everything was random, The movie just kept going without a complete plot. Also tried Horrible movie. This movie was terrible. The dialogue was shit just like it was in Juno and everyone in the making of the film knew it, so they tried to use Megan Fox to try and save it, which just didn't work. This Movie was a joke. script was terrible, acting was bad and the whole premise was dumb. I am giving this a 1 for the short mock lesbian scene. save your money and download porn if your a teen.

I first watched Jennifer's Body at a birthday party thinking to myself that this film is going to be terrible. IMO, I was right. Jennifer's Body was a horrendous film with mediocre acting, many predictable moments, a questionable ending and aI first watched Jennifer's Body at a birthday party thinking to myself that this film is going to be terrible. IMO, I was right. Jennifer's Body was a horrendous film with mediocre acting, many predictable moments, a questionable ending and a really dumb concept on how Jennifer became from an arrogant cheerleader to a gruesome monster. There were a couple of sequences that got my attention like the drastic incident at the cabin bar, but everything else was too shallow and made no damn sense. Perhaps the movie's film style and genre isn't my type of film, but either way Jennifer's Body is still a poor executed film.… Expand

lol what the **** was this. Other than Megan Fox's hot body, there was nothing else good about this movie. I expected something scary - instead all I got was a lame movie that made no sense, didn't have much of a storyline and was all bloodlol what the **** was this. The writer of "Juno," Diablo Cody creates under developed characters and the film focuses on Megan Fox's sexy devil possessed image (who looks like a Victoria's secret porn model). The film is too campy and the film is mean't for horny teen boys; the direction is too campy and terrible, Cody's characters are off and terribly written, Fox's acting is god-awful. Grade C-… Expand

Glancing through another rating website, I was shocked to see that this was on my list of films I'd seen because I did not remember a single thing about it. Watched the trailer once more and it all came back to me... not good.

After hearing lately about how Jenifer's Body had arisen from the dead as a kind of cult hit, I decided to give it a shot. I wish I hadn't. It tries to be a horror film at times, but it's not scary. In one very day they decide to go to a place for a show and by the consequences of the actions one of them, Jennifer, ends up in a complicated situation that changes her somehow, and after that, something start living inside of her and needs to be feeded by human meat. Directed by Karyn Kusama.
The idea of this movie is kind of interesting, like a person that uses the sensuality to call people to some place and get what it needs, it isn't a bad idea, the problem is that it is just that, it doesn't have anything around it, for example, back in the day when people asked me to watch Breaking Bad, i was like "nah, it is just an simple drug show" and after i watch it all, it was great, because it had a whole concept behind that, a whole world and events with characters that are so great and got me 100% invested in that story, but here it doesn't have that universe behind it, it is just a girl attracting guys with her sexuality, it is that silly, the stories that happen around this don't help to construct anything, and definely aren't that interesting at all, if this was a romance movie between the character of Amanda and Johnny, this definely would have been better. One situation here is that the two main characters are apparently best friends, and i didn't bought that even for a second, they are so different, i don't see why one would friend of the other, they just don't combine in any possible way. The movie have some moments doens't make sense ,like, how some characters went from one place to the other. The movie does have some comical moments, aren't the funniest thing in the world, but still can take a little laugh out, and these moments are mainly with the character Chip. Another bad thing here, is that you don't care about almost any character with except of one, literally, don't give a damn about almost all of them, this is a problem because at some parts of the movie they try to put some emotional moments, taking it really serious, and it just doesn't work because you don't care about who died or anything. There are moments that don't make sense, some crucial moments that are solved by things that don't make any possible sense.
The movie tries to sell itself on Megan Fox charisma and sexiness, but i gotta say that it didn't get any close to work on, because first, the character Jennifer, is a complete jerk, second of all, Megan Fox acting is terrible, she just can't express anything, she looked like a door in this movie almos all the time, you can't tell anything by how she interprets, it was that bad, in the side of sexuality, it may have worked, but considering her door face, it didn't convinced me in anyway. Amanda Seyfried is by far the one who did the best job here, and when i mean "by far", i mean it, she convinced me in that weird way, she was cute and at the same time could have me engaged in her beliefs, in what she do. Johnny Simmons character isn't bad, he speaks with a low voice and seems to be shy, in comic moments he totally delievered. Chris Pratt and J.K. Simmons are also in this movie, they don't have much to do, but i thinks it worths the mention, J.K. Simmons character have a hook in the place of his hand, that was pretty cool.
The montage in this movie had some really high moments and some really low. The interesting part felt a little like a Edgar Wright movie, like characters narrating an story while it happens, or characters that show up out of nowhere in a non serious way is pretty cool, there are some camera moviment that work really well together with some songs, it is almost epic. But in other hand, there are some sequences that it is dramatic, for example, and right into it they put a big hevy metal song that doesn't fit in any way with the scene and also is very anticlimatic.
The movie is very divided in comedy, dramatic and horror moments, and one feels completely different then the other, almos like other movie, but ok. The movie have very much two thriller moments, one of them actually worked well, it had some nice construction of scenes, not very complex, but still good.
This movie isn't good, the most part of the acting is that bad, the story is silly, the montage have some good moments, the conclusion you maybe like it, but still, it wasn't for me.… Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This movie is the typical light and highly sexualized horror movie that sells well among teenagers. It revolves around a young intellectual girl, Needy, and his friend, the futile and naughty Jennifer, a cheerleader who turns into a succubus after being used by a garage band in a Satanist ritual that required a young virgin to work well. The transformation results from the simple fact that Jennifer's virginity was already part of the past. From then on, Jennifer will entertain herself to kill and eat young males who seek to have sex with her.

Megan Fox is the main actress of the cast and plays the lead role. But she's not a good actress. Having a beautiful face and a sexy body is not enough to be an actress, there has to be talent. It's not the case. Basically, what Megan Fox does in this movie is show her body and seduce the audience. But this is not erotic cinema, is it? Amanda Seyfried looks better and works relatively well in Needy's role.

Basically the film is just the traditional and overused recipe of sex and terror. Most of the special effects, visual and sound are quite rudimentary and make use of the usual clichés in the films of this horror sub-genre. The scares are few and mediocre. There is enough blood for gore fans, but we cannot properly say that the movie is a bath of flesh, blood and guts. There are many moments in the movie where sex is suggested, but even this is conventional and serves only to hold the teens to the end. There are still some attempts to make jokes, but they are so bad that it's not even worth talking about.… Expand

Having first heard the critics of the movie claiming that this film was disgustingly bad I didn't have the disposal to watch it however just then most of my classmates started telling me how excited they were about the movie,they told me thatHaving first heard the critics of the movie claiming that this film was disgustingly bad I didn't have the disposal to watch it however just then most of my classmates started telling me how excited they were about the movie,they told me that it was one of the greatest movies they've ever seen and I should watch it either, so I decided to give it a try. Truth being said though, Jennifer's Body is a low budget production film, something that makes it easy for everyone to realize it not only from the quain style in the way it's shot but also from the bad acting and the unrealistic effects that are all over the movie. Generally speaking Jennifer's Body doesn't have the spark of the good teen horror movie, whenever the characters are trying to play they end up humiliating themselves. The horror is just lame. Yet the most important drawback of them all is the fact that when someone is finished watching the movie, they'll feel like nothing happened while in reality they just lost two hours of their lives...… Expand
