When I first heard about this film I thought it was just another lame "parody" film about a couple of guys making jokes, but luckily I was wrong. This film is funny with a couple of very good jokes. The most uneven of all the View Askewniverse films, but it still contains some of the biggest laughs. Don't let the underwhelming first 20 minutes dissuade you, the comedy builds in momentum.

Kevin Smith's first bad film. Shoddily pasted together from a confusing selection of aimless, dull, and only vaguely related scenes, this pointless mess is irritatingly smirky and self-deprecating. Out of all the View Askewniverse movies, this one is by far the worst as far as potty humor goes, but it's to be expected when the usually secondary characters of J&SB take lead roles. I remember watching it when it originally came out on DVD and absolutely loved it. Nearly 20 years later, It still lives up and remains one of my favourite comedies. It's Kevin Smith's best movie IMO.

I love the attempt to this, but unfortunately, overusing profanity doesn't make a movie look laughable. It spoofs big-time stuff like Star Wars, Scooby-Doo, etc., it looks so beautiful, and it still couldn't work at all. A movie for basic teenagers.

One of the most halarious movies ive ever seen. I didnt think any of Smith's other movies were that funny so this came as a real shocker.

All things -- especially with comedy -- subjective, I just wasn't laughing as much as I wanted to. Though I thought the cameos and meta humor were appropriately amusing and fresh, I just couldn't get past some of the more hopelessly "2000's" elements at hand. The weed, sex, and "gay" jokes are well and good for a movie of the time, but the simple fact is, I'm not living in that time anymore. I saw this for my first time in 2019. With that in mind, I didn't love it. Not that I was offended or turned off by the humor. I just simply didn't laugh as much at these things as I would have if I was a teen. An undoubtedly valid and noted effort, yes. But an ultimately lukewarm one.… Expand
