What did you say?
You gonna launch into another lecture
on the ugliness of profanity?
I just wish you could hear yourself.
You sound uneducated.
Dad.
And you know what?
It reflects on your parents.
Parent.
That's right.
I've gotta be the mom and the dad.
Whatever.
I was watching Oprah today.
That must be the mom in you.
You know what the topic was?
Let me guess. "Club Kids"?
No, it was "ls Your Child a Follower?"
I'm done. Can I go?
And you know what?
I was deeply concerned because,
yes, Oprah, my child is a follower.
You are so lame.
You don't even have any friends.
Whatever happened to
my sweet little Brownie?
Don't.
My Girl Scout?
You remember the Tiffany concert?
Ho-ho-ho.
You loved Tiffany.
Oh, my God.
(Marcie's father starts singing the song by Tiffany "I think we're alone now"). I think we're alone now, there doesn't seem to be anyone around !!!!
Thank God!

Judy Greer said that when she was dressed as Fern, nobody on set paid her any attention. When she transformed into Vylette, all of a sudden everyone paid attention to her. However, the men on set seemed more timid while approaching her as Vylette.

Courtney: Mine? Decayed. Like Julie. Our friendship with her is decayed. Rot. Julie is over. Done, null and void. In two weeks, no one will know her including you. From now on, you don't know her. Never knew her. She's like Fern Mayo. A bad dream. Get it?

Zack: [after Courtney is exposed for Liz's murder] I have been a very, very naughty boy.

Julie: Have you?

[Both of them kiss]

Zack: [Hands Julie a camera] Would you like to do the honors

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. 10/10 I love this classic!

I'm a 29 year old male and I can 'really' enjoy this movie. It bleeping rocks! Maybe it's because I was born in the 90s, but the girls are super sexy. Their vulgar is amazing, their attitude is super bad and the music in this movie rocks and sounds killer (pun intended)!

Rose McGowan (Courtney) is a goddess. Her lips, snappy bad girl attitude/personality, fashion and sarcasm is so addicting. The quality is in HD, the writing is very good and the cinematography.

I can always watch this and always feel super cool and fresh. There are love scenes, really cool original jokes and the relationships and character developments are good. Obviously the entire premise on the whole jawbreaker candy can not be overstated. It sticks to it time and time again. Mentioning facts etc.

Highly recommended !

I definitely think it's time for a critical revisit because the movie has become such a cult classic. It centers around a group of popular teen girls in high school. The Alpha played by a perfectly poisonous Rose McGowan (Scream). Rebecca Gayheart (Urban Legend) the nice one and Julie Benz (TV's Buffy) as the ditzy follower. They play an unfortunate prank on their girlfriend and she chokes on a large Jawbreaker. They try and cover it up while the Alpha takes it to questionable lengths. It's a darkly humorous teen flick that's now better than ever. Filled with quotable dialogue and one hell of a lead performance from McGowan. It's fun, disturbing and hilarious in all the right ways. Judy Greer (Halloween 2018) stars as Fern a witness they give a makeover, Pam Grier (Jackie Brown) as the feisty detective and Carol Kane (Scrooged) as the kooky principal. Even Marilyn Manson shows up for a cameo.

Budget: $3.5M
Box Office: $3.1M

It was okay, it has aged reasonably well. It seemed like a take on Carrie vs. teen movies of the early 00's/late 90s. I liked some of the cinematography and black humor. I still don't understand why Marilyn Manson had a cameo though lol
