THIS IS THE WORST MOVIE I SAW

This is essentially the antithesis to greats like The Godfather and Citizen Kane. It is lazy and above all unfunny, even by Adam Sandler's standards. I'm only giving this a 0 because this is like the worst movie of 2011. Adam Sandler could've got us dead with not only Jack, but Jill 'her'self. It's time to retire right now, Adam Sandler. Well, this is it. Adam Sandler has reached a new low. Again. I don't know how, but his movies just get worse and worse with each one. Maybe it's because Sandler's humour hasn't changed in decades. I cannot stand his performance as Jack orWell, this is it. Adam Sandler has reached a new low. Again. I don't know how, but his movies just get worse and worse with each one. Maybe it's because Sandler's humour hasn't changed in decades. I cannot stand his performance as Jack or Jill. And considering they're where 95% of the humour comes from, that's a sign that you messed up. I don't have a problem with one person playing two characters as it shows their diversity and acting skill. However, the characters need to look, sound and be different enough. Adam Sandler however, could not change his character personalities if his acting career depended on it, which it does.… Expand

Some people will find some trivial reason to dislike a film and then rate it 0 due to this subjective reason when in reality it probably deserves at least a 3 or a 5 out of 10. Jack and Jill very much deserves a 0/10 rating. Jack and Jill very much deserves a 0/10 rating. No really.... it does. At no point in this movie did I chuckle or come clause to laughing. It's not that I am too highbrow for slapstick, potty humor, or even the type of comedy Sandler is known for.... it's just that the writing in this film is so obviously lazy, that every attempt at humor equates to low hanging fruit that you can see coming from a mile away. It will make you cringe in embarrassment for anyone involved in this film, and at yourself for even watching it. This brings me to Al Pacino. Why on Earth did he accept to be in this movie? I seriously lost respect for one of my all time favorite actors, who among Sandler's usual clan of parasitic supporting actors, stands out as one of the worst parts of this film. I didn't know he could sink this low.

The movie pretends to have the purpose of showing the intimate relationship between identical twins. They attempt to achieve this by showcasing actual identical twins both before and after the movie. But in reality, the story has almost nothing to do with this relationship..... aside from the fact that they (Jack and Jill) start speaking in their made up language (hahahahaha) at the predictable "make up" moment at the end of the film which was actually only for the purpose of saving the already lazy writers the task of writing another piece of horrible script. The cherry on top of this dumpster fire is the fact that it is RIDDLED with not so subtle advertisements throughout the entire film from Pepto Bismol (poopy jokes included), to Coca Cola, to Dunkin' Donuts (among many more). One of the worst cases of product placement I've ever seen in a movie.

I would not even subject a minor to this let alone a fully developed adult. I can't believe they made a decent profit off this film when it was released.… Expand

Every century a movie like this is created. A movie that is polarizing, difficult to grasp, and leaves you in pure shock after watching. Every fart joke in the movie leaves the viewer dumbfounded. "Did they really just. Again?" is what you'll be saying after every fart joke. Adam Sandler takes on the challenging task of playing a man and a woman. The way he portrays the jill character is one reminiscent of Tony Montana. The inflections in his voice give this powerful Cuban presence, without even being Cuban. Adam Sandler is a modern-day Picasso in the way he paints a picture for his characters. Every role he plays is a new painting, and it's up to the audience to interpret them in their own way. Some people like to call this movie an abomination, abysmal even. But they're just jelly. Adam Sandler is truly a genius. A man who can't do wrong, and a man who guarantees some gut-busting laughs. Anyway, this movie is a stinky pile of ****… Expand

I doubt I can add what has already been bashed about by this film as they are all accurate in describing the film as a whole. So to help add my critical voice without sounding like a derivative, I'm going to summarize the experience I hadI doubt I can add what has already been bashed about by this film as they are all accurate in describing the film as a whole. So to help add my critical voice without sounding like a derivative, I'm going to summarize the experience I had when watching the film. My body is sitting upright on the couch with my friend sitting beside to my right. Ok, the movie is introducing itself with dumb twin sibling jokes without any of the characters, which means that any joke the characters make involving twin siblings is going to fall flat on its face. Sure enough, once the 'likeable and inoffensive' characters are introduced, those types of jokes and every other kind of joke they attempt to do are beyond pathetic. As the film progresses, I keep expecting that the sheer stupidity of the whole film to be enough for me to truly hate it, but no, that was just the icing on this moldy and crusty cake. The large volumes of asinine emptiness were enough to make me go from sitting upright to laying on my side and falling asleep. My friend (who was mostly not paying attention to the film either and was checking up on his Facebook status or whatever people do with their social media accounts) noticed me sleeping and after 20 minutes of what felt like heaven, I was woken up by him after he'd tapped my feet. "Oh c'mon man! I really am in no mood to watch a film that plays out like a commercial and has absolutely nothing to say to make me care for its sorry ass." Feeling amused by my suffering he replied, "Well, you know we're both suffering." Good point buddy. In the end, "Jack and Jill"'s biggest crime as a film was not its obvious flaws, hell not even its celebrity cameos (Oh Al why? WHY?!?! You, Depp, and everyone else involved in this project couldn't find a better frigging script in 2011??), but for being such an unbelievably boring pile of **** to sit through. It is one of the most boring films I've ever seen and it will rob one's intelligence upon first viewing.… Expand
