I never thought a movie with stick figures could make me cry. One of the most profound and intriguing movies I have ever watched. Beautiful film. 10/10.

It's Such a Beautiful Day is a beautiful look in on a man struggling with an unmentioned mental disease but it goes further than just this. It addresses thoughts such as those of death that many people have and the way it does it makes the viewer think about their own way that they have approached these issues. This is particularly amazing in the fact that all of the animation is very minimalist and it is all tied together nicely by classical music. This being said the flow is odd at times making for a sort of surreal effect and some of the humor is good and dark and some of it just seems a bit out there. Expand

Quirky, imaginative, and unforgettable. This is an odd, experimental film that will pull on your heartstrings. It's stunningly beautiful in its simplicity. Its an unexpected font of ponderous wisdom that will stick with you for years to come.

Personally it didn't affect me much, but I'm happy it exists and the 3rd chapter, I did like a lot. Nevertheless, If I had to sum up my honest thoughts on It's Such a Beautiful Day, it would be as follows:
A philosophy grad's "quirky" ponderings on life, death, deterioration, existential dread, memory, mental health, hereditary disorders and cancer* (brain tumor) etc etc, very neatly structured into a nice relatable "meaning-of-life" narrative with sort of annoying breathy narration and wonderful animation.

It feels very human, which in and of itself, is odd, given that it's animated stick figures. I find it overall, an endearing look at life and how we interpret it. Expand

Definitely an acquired taste, but easily one of the most poignant and masterfully done movies I've ever seen. 10/10 work of art

Nihilism + crappy animation + discordant noises + choppy narration. Closest to "demonic" of what I've yet seen, and I've seen a lot.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is by and far one of the best movies I've ever seen. The mundane nature intermixed with the psychological aspects of Bill's life actually made me weep, and the contemplation of the inevitability of death and the rejection of it is one of the most beautiful, yet also saddening scenes I've seen in a movie.
