I thought this movie was great! I really felt for Vince, he loses the whole 9 yards and takes all the negativity and uses it as a motivator. I thought the depiction of training camp was all too real to life. I played college football, and I thought this movie was great! I played college football, and this movie gave me two-a-day flashbacks. The throwing up before games part made me smile, a lot of people do not know that happens before game. Anyway, Great movie! Now a 30 year old bar tender is about to become the Eagle's most unlikely rookie. Invincible is a courageous movie that show's you no matter what you do or how old you are you can make a difference in whatever you do. I hope my review helps. Expand

One of the best sports movies since ROCKY... maybe it's Philly, but this is another REAL guy triumph that makes us all believe we can. Plus, it couldn't come at a better time!

"Glory Road" was every bit the by-the-numbers inspirational story that "Invincible" is, but cliches are meant to be transcended. Good actors are the elixir that transforms formula writing into formula writing that is forgivable. Mark "Glory Road" was every bit the by-the-numbers inspirational story that "Invincible" is, but cliches are meant to be transcended. Good actors are the elixir that transforms formula writing into formula writing that is forgivable. Mark Wahlberg is Vince Papali. Greg Kinnear is Dick Vemeil. Perhaps the most important performance is given by Elizabeth Banks since romantic interludes involving the main character are usually painful timekillers. She takes a nothing role and makes it special, suggesting an ability to be a poor woman's Rachel McAdams. True, the final football game is too long, therefore exposing the screenwriting nightmare of profiling a special teams player(like a sumo match, their time on the playing surface is over in a flash). But "Invincible" gets a lot of little things right, in particular, the effect that Papali's success has on his old haunts. They're happy. We're happy. Like the documentary "Dogtown and Z-Boys", "Invincible" makes you marvel at the seventies. Open tryouts for a professional sports franchise? Incredible. Yuta Tabuse, a point guard from Japan who played for the Phoenix Suns two years ago is the only sports story that remotely resembles Papali's. Expand

Saw this last night in a packed theater on Monday no less. Absolutely loved it as it's a downplayed Rocky but in football pads and cleats. The audience cheered as the credits rolled. An all inspiring must see film.

It is a story of a guy who doesn't really have a dream because he doesn't think he'll ever be good enough, but is pushed by his friends and his inner demons to the point where he starts to believe. I've never been a Wahlberg fan, but this film has made me change my mind about him. Although he looks nothing like the real Papale, his acting captures the heart and soul of this teacher-turned-pro. And Kinnear is great, as usual. You don't have to be an Iggles fan to love this one. Expand

When you watch a movie like this, you know what you are going to get, and for what it is, it is very good. Quit projecting your issues with other movies on this one. If you are not completely jaded and cynical, you can actually enjoy this movie. My one complaint is that Vince is actually a lot more charismatic in real life than the Mark Wahlberg vesion. Watch the featurette in the DVD about the real Vince Pampale and you can tell that this guy has a transcendent lust for life and he relished every minute of his opportunity to be an Iggle. Mark Wahlberg kinda scowls his way through this movie, and it woulda been nice to have a charcater actually enjoy the journey a little bit while it is happening instead of being the kinda "ah shucks, this really isn't going to work out" character that we see. Still though, if you like the feel-good Remember the Titans kinda movies. This one is extremely enjoyable and considerably less corny than Titans. Expand

Not being into American Football i didn't know much about the character but saw a trailer and thought it was worth a watch. It certainly was, Wharlberg played the role well and it was just well made overall. Its true the plot has been done before, man has dream, over comes obstacles, theres a girl, doubts self then gets there in the end...but who doesn't love a story where the underdog wins? To those of you who claim bits are stolen from Rocky...Rocky is fiction, this is based on reality, not all that concretely but its accurate enough. To summarise, good film, good feel good factor, certainly one of the better ones in the genre. Expand

Ciekawe jak ta historia wyglądała na prawdę,a nie na potrzeby filmu... Jednak jeżeli tylko część jest prawdą, to film jest spoko, a historia życiowa mega.
