I think most people who watch this are either going to be Blair's fans or people with MS. Being technically in both categories I have been looking forward to this for months.

Its OK. Its REALLY slow though. I had to watch it at x1.5 speed as her speech is so drawn out. Even when shes not flaring.

Some of her behaviors seem a bit over dramatic as well. Granted she is a performer and that might just be her personality.

I had hoped for more focus on her symptoms and struggles. What I did see for the most part was eerily familiar to me.

All in all it was a valuable watch. It was not really entertaining but it serves as a decent depiction of not only what the struggles of the condition, but the struggles of switching back and forth between incapacitated to almost functional and the absolute frustration of that unpredictability that leads to so very little getting done.

I dont really agree with her choice of therapy. I understand it but dont agree with it. She herself seems to understand why and has realized that while it has helped in some regards its not the pancea it is billed as given the symptoms still remain. Even if they are more manageable... for now.

Its sad to see what this illness has done to a great actress of my generation and seeing this film makes me realize that we really wont see much of her again. Giving a 7 but largely being very generous due to my own struggles and appreciating the subject matter.

While it is possible to wonder the reasons behind the need to document this journey, I suppose that to some extent it was a kind of therapy for Selma Blair.
It's not an easy situation, and she shows it.

There's certainly no teaching at the end of this documentary, it's simply an account of her struggle, suffering, resistance and her desire to move on.

Completely basic, but sufficiently touching.

It seems ridiculous to leave a review for this documentary as though entertainment was the inspiration for it's creation. Selma Blair allows us into her world at it's most vulnerable state. Selma Blair allows us into her world at it's most vulnerable state. If you go into this expecting climax and suspense, then you are looking in the wrong genre. Like most documentaries, this has it's share of slow moments which made it all the more poignant to me. Miss Blair doesn't get to fast forward and skip over the moments that may become tiring or uncomfortable nor would anyone else with a disability. Regardless of whether or not one can relate to her notoriety, she reveals herself in the most human, honest and raw form. There's an abundance of valuable takeaways to be had from this 90 minutes if you are willing. Expand
