this film reminded me of an anecdote about Indian films: a dying father tells his son: I'll tell you one secret - I'm not your father, I'm your mother!

It was really an average movie with nothing exciting really happening in it. Dormer was really good in it I thought, but besides that it just felt boring even though it was meant to be a thriller. It isn't bad, but nothing impressive either

This is a very interesting movie, the story is very nice, there is a lot of discoverying shile watching, one scene that doesn't seems to make a lot of sense but further on the movie they start explaining and telling the backstory and what some characters are looking foward to while things start making sense. The story also does have some plot twists in it, some you may see it coming or find some not really necessary, but personally i tought it was pretty cool. The movie have a narrative that stands in a lot of persons trying to reach the same nucleo for different reasons, except for the main character they don't explain exactly what is happening between the others, you can get to know but it isn't 100% exposed, that may be a problem but in this case it worked, i like when things aren't explicit and make you think in some possibilities. Somethings may had felt out of place, something didn't make sense, but overwall it worked very well, it is a very nice story and told in a very nice way. The movie starts better than is finalized, the first act and until half of the movie it is perfect, the story was being released very well and it was being a great joint to follow, at the 2nd half somethings start to become out of place, somethings without making sense and the rhythm also got a little problematic as well in this 2nd half, but for me it didn't destroyed the movie, just didn't make it as good as it could have been.
The cameras in this movie did a great job, considering that the character is blind the camera are always very close to her giving an aspect of blindness itself, while you hear things happening and the camera is focused on her head you can only know what is happening from what you hear, by the way the sound design in this movie was very good what was essential, wich in thesis, it is just like the character does. The colors of the movie are a bit down, it have a noir tone, it is really good. Natalie Dormer here had the challenge to interpretate a blind person, she doesn't convince all the time that she is one, wich i believe that this is kind of fixed during the movie, but still, go watch it, she convince in her voice tone. Ed Skrein character is kind of out of place, he does have an arc, but his reactions was so without expressions that his character was kind of the low point of the movie. Jan Bijvoet do a pretty good job, he totally convinces in being a bad guy, and the worst, i completely bought his cold heart, by the way that he speaks and looked to people, he worked a lot in this character.
The movie have a little bro spirit, saying that you end up becoming what you hate, isn't an original though, but during the context of the movie, this may have felt wrong or right, depends on you.
The cinematography in this movie is great, not just for the cameras that are very well positioned, but are some filmings in shadows and using the light very well. The soundtrack is good and make a tension in it that works.
This movie is good, the problem is that there are some non sense things in the story, somethings are implicit, wich is perfect, but there are some that just doesn't fit in, get confused is good, but when you are confused in something crucial to the story and can't find a good reason for that to have happened this is bad, the famous plot holes. But generally it worked well, a different movie and a nice thriller.

If you are in the mood you can see the whole thing but you must do a medium effort and try to go ahead from minute 60. For a Thriller, too slow, for a Mystery, no incentives. It is just a mediocre satire... and you know it!!! 3'5 roundede up.
