Another shocking example of why directors should not be screen writers. They have no one to say "That doesn't work". I had really high hopes for this, but through some badly performed amateur acting (not from the headliners, they were fine) mixed with some really horrible writing, I lost count of the number of times I rolled my eyes. We are given 30+ minutes to become enamoured with a wonderful dog as one of the lead characters.
