While there is dramatic momentum, the film could have used more menace. It never creates a forceful feeling of dread for his character or the circumstances. The obvious message of several cultural montages seems unnecessarily long and heavy-handed. Still, the film manages to be an involving, if somewhat tame, experience.… Expand
