The movie follows a german archeologist that takes part in a tech test to gain favor from his boss: she spends three weeks with a humanoid robot designed to make her happy. Of course, there are some traces of 'Her,' 'Ex-Machina,' and other AI-centric sci-fi films, but 'I'm Your Man' cleverly uses the romantic comedy tropes to explore the feelings of a lonely woman that stumbles with the elusive chance of being happy, or at least the illusion of it.

This movie will make you laugh and even cry if you relate to Alma's conflict, but the most important thing about it it's the existential questions it asks and the answers it doesn't provide. Funny, romantic, and witty, 'I'm Your Man' it's sci-fi done right, and it even doesn't bother with being one!

Not a new story to be honest, I just saw a movie on Sunday that dealt with a man who acquires a robot, in this case a female one, for some of the same reasons, although with a completely different and much emptier approach.
I'm Your Man may not excel in any area, but it's clearly a more intelligent and above all a more substantial flick.

The performances are correct and more than adequate for the story that unfolds, while the romance and comedy flow adequately and in a timely manner.
You get the idea of where the story might be going, but it takes its time to develop it enough that it doesn't feel too rushed or shallow.

It was an enjoyable film.
