Quite average movie on quality. On the one hand a plot amusing and sarcastic, on the other hand everything is executed at the level here is lower an average. Bruce Willis won back enough so-so, and this the best that is in a picture. I do notQuite average movie on quality. I just dont understand critics. They must have had a bad childhood or something. Hudson Hawk is comedy movie, where you get to laugh ALOT. I can warmly recommend this to anyone.

12 years Later and this movie is still under appreciated. I guess people don't know how to not take a movie too seriously. Hudson Hawk is a early 1990's action/adventure/action comedy... A film that throughout delivers silly scene after silly scene. This is the best movie ever! Totally misunderstood in its time but now can be appreciated for the genius it is. Half action movie half comedy half spoof and 100% over the top it really was a forerunner of today's 'self knowing' action comedyThis is the best movie ever! Totally misunderstood in its time but now can be appreciated for the genius it is. Half action movie half comedy half spoof and 100% over the top it really was a forerunner of today's 'self knowing' action comedy movie. It never takes itself seriously for a second, the effects are surprisingly good for its time so it has aged well from that point of view and Bruce Willis has almost never been better (Die Hard is the best action movie of all time so naturally that is the one performance of his that stands out above this one) AND if all that wasn't enough there is always the infamous dolphin impression. I promise you now dig this one out of the bargain bin in the DVD store and you won't be disappointed! And just remember ITS A COMEDY PEOPLE stop taking it so seriously it isn't supposed to make sense. Think of it like Beckett does Last Action Hero with a touch of The Da Vinci Code thrown in. If I ever win the lottery I am going to personally finance a sequel!… Expand

Extremamente Louco,porém muito divertido...Tendo cenas bem divertidas cheias de ação. Com uma super atuação de Bruce Willis,Um Bom Filme de comédia. Tem hora que chega a ficar chato com um humor tipo I Carly porém o filme vale a pena assistir

One of the most underrated movies of all times.
Hudson Hawk is not a work of art indeed, but it's a great action-comedy B movie that will keep you entertained with its cheap puns and cheap stunts. This is what the '80s were about!

I can't blame people for not liking this movie. It's comedy certainly isn't mainstream, and it does feel awkward in the hands of such familiar faces. This film might actually have benefitted from having no-name actors, because I can't blame people for not liking this movie. This film might actually have benefitted from having no-name actors, because the audience might have gone in with no expectations and been able to take the film for what it is instead of what it's supposed to be. The thing this movie does have going for it is that it's pretty consistent. The type of humor they use is used throughout. So if you if part of it makes you laugh, the whole thing makes you laugh. If it doesn't make you laugh, you're out of luck. And I can certainly see why a lot of people don't find it funny. But I do.… Expand

To paraphrase Benjamin Franklin "Hudson Hawk is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy". A singular achievement in the annals of Hollywood hubris. Hudson Hawk is inimitable, brilliant, and nothing short of genius. Enjoy...

Its fun, Its more of a comedy and i think maybe people at the time were expecting more of an action film out of Willis. Its over the top and ridicules but its a fun time and pretty funny. You can tell its a movie every one was having fun making and the performances are fun and a bit over the top at times which i think fits well with what they were going for. This movie got teared apart by critics, received 3 golden raspberries and is now mostly forgotten. I think this is best seen as an entertaining B movie that takes itself not serious while being no masterpiece either. I think this is best seen as an entertaining B movie that takes itself not serious while being no masterpiece either. I don't remember the movie being even showed in TV on smaller stations in recent years. It was plagued by development hell but ultimately is quite entertaining (If you like B movies or apply B movie standards). The movie follows Eddie Hawkins called Hudson Hawk who is a master safe cracker, thief and cat burglar. He is freshly out of the prison when he is forced by various group to do a heist for them. However this is even bigger than he could imagine and leads back to the times of Leonardo da Vinci. I stop here with this set up. The story and characters have a B movie charm that won me over. I warn here that this is not for everyone and I see what critiques and others dislike. If you expect this to be an A movie or blockbuster than this is a disappointment. However I will question if you made the right assumptions for this movie. Back to the movie: The story works for me well in B movie style so lets continue with the characters. We have Bruce Willis as Eddie Hawkins aka Hudson Hawk. I think he is a charming character and works well. Danny Aiello plays Tommy Messina aka Five Tone who is Eddies partner in crime. A good performance too. The Mayflowers played by Richard E. Grant ans Sandra Bernhard are interesting but a bit to unbelievable for my taste. Andie Mac Dowell as Anna Baragli works well and delivers. We got a solid performance by B movie standards and I freely admit the weakness in the scripts and dialogues. I know that I repeat the word “B movie” a lot but this is the quintessence for me and think I said all there is to say so far. Overall this is both. An entertaining movie and a catastrophe in one but it depends on your preferences. As prove that it is not that bad I will make the argument that it never appears on that many worst movies on all time lists and has a small fan base.… Expand
