A classic enemies-to-lovers trope come to life in this film. I enjoyed this more than I thought I would, honestly. Gaten Matarazzo and Angourie Rice were great. Some delightful elements pieced in there.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Honor Society exceeded my expectations greatly. The writing was excellent; it was funny, had terrific themes, love the breaking the fourth wall style, and the twist that Michael is the actual bad guy of the story was great and very well executed, I didn't see it coming. Angourie Rice's performance was outstanding, she gave me very much Tracy Flick vibes but with twists like she has a heart and a conscience. Gaten Matarazzo, Amy Keum, Ben Jackson Walker, and Armani Jackson gave superb supporting performances. The costumes were phenomenal especially ones wore by Angourie Rice and the play costumes. Just a super enjoyable movie.… Expand

Shame this is being overlooked as it's a really fun High School movie in the vein of Clueless and Election. Yes, it's a blend of familiar elements but there's a real beating heart in there and a darker edge than you might expect.
