There's not too much to find with Home Alone. I don't see a connection with our child protagonist since he's not developed a bit much despite spending majority of the movie stealing the show. I also do not see much out of a movie that keeps its plot filled with common tropes that either don't last long or go on to see death in laughter rather than find different ways to keep its audience laughing every time they come across it. Home Alone is too simple and I mean way too simple for a movie that doesn't spend its time looking for different ways to improve what could have been a holiday classic like what everyone here suggests.… Expand

Que c'est jouissif de voir des pros tomber dans des piÃ¨ges aussi ridicules! Mais hÃ©las, cela ne concerne que le quart d'heure final du film. Pendant tout le reste, j'ai dÃ» supporter la naÃ¯vetÃ© et les Ã©tats d'Ã¢me du jeune garÃ§on, sans pour autant que cela soit Ã mourir de rire. Pour certains, c'est mignon, moi j'ai trouvÃ© Ã§a plutÃ´t gonflant. MÃªme question acteurs, personne ne semble rÃ©ellement s'amuser (hormis Joe Pesci et encore, il n'est pas Ã son meilleur). Home Alone is a fun adventure but gets very tiresome in the middle until the bad guys show up. A movie kids will enjoy but might have parents wanting it to end.

Macaulay Culkin is adorable and the film itself is generally funny - but the joke wears thin, and the slapstick crude, vicious and an indicator that Kevin on his way to becoming a sadistic, violent psychopath in later life.
