And for the most part, The nostalgia factor works. We have terrible looking effects, poor acting, a generic story but entertaining and over the top kills that are fun to watch. It's bad but almost in a good way. Expand

The pacing is quite dreadful, taking about 40 minutes for the first kill, but once it starts, it never really lets up. There's gore, boobs, jump-scares and an intimidating villain -- everything that should make it an instant hit -- but it falls flat with its by-the-book story and generally abysmal acting. Expand

A buckets-of-blood gory horror film that is a lovely send up to the VHS era of trashy slashers. In no way good in the typical sense but the movie most certainly knows what it is - a campy, generally creepy, and downright **** hilariousA buckets-of-blood gory horror film that is a lovely send up to the VHS era of trashy slashers. A great villain is created out of Victor Crowley, and I'm tempted to watch the sequels. Expand
