This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Most documentaries can feel boring or drawn out, too dry and objective to entice viewers without a deliberate interest in what’s being documented. Good Fortune, however, is a documentary which pulls viewers in by the necktie, never letting go until its whole story is told. Good Fortune tells the rags to riches story of Paul Mitchell’s founder John Paul DeJoria. The story on DeJoria’s fight for success is riddled with strife, drama, and aspects of a life lived to its very fullest. Good Fortune isn’t just a documentary on a billionaire, it’s a documentary highlighting the essence of the American dream. I’d highly recommend seeing Good Fortune for a documentary that won’t just inspire you, but keep you invested in it wholeheartedly as any good film should.… Expand
