A beautiful biographical movie! We need a lot more movies like these. Akshay, if you're reading this then please keep on making these movies! Nobody else in the industry is doing this. Nobody else in the industry is doing this. Everyone else is focused on "masala movies" (commercial films) and the general notion is that there is no audience for other film genres. However, there is an audience and that audience will grow more and more as such masterpieces are made.

Gold is a beautifully told story of the Indian hockey team's attempts. It brings out the story from one man's perspective who dreamt of the Indian hockey team trying for an international competition. If you liked lagaan, bhaag milka bhaag and other biographies, then you're going to love this one!… Expand
