- Adding enuf humorous moment and not too much, - Having enuf sub-plots to add variety and keep things moving, and not to many sub-plots,
- Seamless transition back and forth between digital and in-camera assets,
- How to make a comic book plot not seem like a comic book plot (much credit for this probably goes to the several FFX technical directors),

It lived up to the hype. I got what I've wanted for years. As a long time Godzilla fan, this hit every spot. This is 100% about the spectacle, the bonkers lore, and the fanservice.

The only things I didn't like were the new comic relief characters and cheesy villains. But surprise, surprise. Humans are the worst part of a godzilla movie, who'da thunk it. Good thing there's less screentime focused on just them than ever. This movie has cemented the quadrilogy as a GOAT package as far as my household is concerned. Haven't felt this satisfied since Endgame. Can't wait to see how they try to top this.… Expand

Todo se basa en acción desenfrenada, magníficos efectos especiales y momentos ÉPICOS repartidos en los 113 minutos que dura esta película.Apreciación personal: Para mi, Godzilla vs Kong ES LA PELÍCULA MAS IMPRESIONANTE Y ÉPICA DEL AÑO.

Todo se basa en acción desenfrenada, magníficos efectos especiales y momentos ÉPICOS repartidos en los 113 minutos que dura esta película.

Debo reconocer que siendo Team Godzilla de toda la vida, creo que fue Kong el titán mas sobresaliente, si bien Godzilla es majestuoso e imponente, es finalmente Kong quien despierta empatía y sentimientos en los espectadores, ambos se dieron una buena paliza, por lo que fue una pelea completamente justa y pareja.

Los personajes humanos son acartonados y vacíos como de costumbre, pero para mi en este tipo de películas no deberían de fijarse tanto en esas cosas ya que no son la base de la historia, aunque si destaco a la pequeña niña y su vínculo con Kong, los demás nada del otro mundo, en especial el personaje de Eiza Gonzalez, a la cual inflan demasiado por ser una mexicana "triunfando" en Hollywood cuando sus personajes no son ni secundarios y además pasan sin pena ni gloria, sobre todo aquí en donde solo es una cara bonita que no aporta absolutamente nada.

I'm an Average viewer but i watched thi movie with my entire family on a popcorn night. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Godzilla vs Kong seems to have learnt from all its previous mistakes as it proceeded to be made. Compared to the disaster that King of the Monsters was, this movie has focused more on what we wanted to see and removed what didn't interest us. I'd definitely say Godzilla vs Kong made me feel those emotions that I thought Godzilla, Kong: Skull Island and Godzilla: King of the Monsters would make me feel back when I had seen their trailers. It is just what we want from a kaiju movie - a short, mindless entertainment combined with a big CGI fight.
The first thing that attracts me so much towards this movie is the visuals. MonsterVerse, more specifically Legendary Pictures, always makes really, really good VFX. Legendary Pictures lives up to its name when it comes to seeing the visuals. It was so much pleasant to see Kong in the centre of the earth, living the way we expect megafauna must have lived in their grasslands before humans interfered. The whole scene of Godzilla and Kong fighting while the buildings were getting destroyed was also really awesome. I really like how MonsterVerse movies always show kaiju monsters fight from the human's point of view. It feels...authentic.
The second thing I really like about it is that unlike the previous movies there is no army. For some reason I hate seeing US Army in all the big CGI movies. They look so boring, being forced to act according to the orders of a grumpy man. MCU, Transformers, X-Men, it never fails to bore me. But here that isn't the case. All there is is just Apex and their henchmen. There is no team going like, "They are killing people even though there are 7.6 billion of them in the world, so let's kill them too even though they are one of a kind UwU." In case they think they are respecting the US Army by putting them in big budget movies like these, they are doing something really wrong.
And thirdly what I like is that it doesn't beat around the bush and gets straight to the point. You wanted to see the monsters fight? There you go. There is none of that philosophy whether monsters are good, whether humans are bad for the environment, whether a civilisation should be kept hidden. Nothing. Just straight up fighting. Of course that leads to a couple of plot holes, like the middle of the earth having lands on two opposite sides so gravity goes however away you're from the centre (it should be the other way round, since gravity pulls towards the centre of the earth). Or how a supercomputer gets ruined by spilling alcohol over it.
In Godzilla, a two hour movie, all the monsters combined were there only for 16 minutes, out of which Godzilla was for only 9 minutes. In King of the Monsters, which ran 2 hours 11 minutes, the monsters were there for 22 minutes, of which Godzilla was, once again, only 9 minutes (King Ghidorah was there for 11 minutes). But here we have a movie, not even two hours long, and the monsters appear for a whopping 40 minutes! Plus there are more variants of monsters, including the legendary Mechagodzilla himself.
And the best part, Godzilla wins. Take that, ugly gorilla fans! Cool dragons for the win! Godzilla vs Kong is the best kaiju movie I've ever watched, and a perfect example for the rest of the MonsterVerse to follow. No wonder why it earned more than the previous movies in spite of a pandemic. It's exactly what it says: Godzilla vs Kong. A fight between an awesome looking reptile and an awful ugly primate who kills creatures that look way better than him. A well deserved beating for sure. A must watch for all Godzilla fans and a Burnol for King Kong fans. No wonder why they have given this movie such a low rating.… Expand

I've been a Godzilla fan for decades. The trailer (and music choice therein) worried me but after just watching it, it gave me just what I wanted. It's preposterous but I was grinning ear to ear like an idiot. I hope this is successful andI've been a Godzilla fan for decades. Godzilla vs Kong's characters are forgettable and dull but the opposite can be said about its monsters and action. The fights are the main attraction and are an epic spectacle crafted specifically to be seen on the largest screen possible.

We discovered things that previous movies had teased such as the hollow earth (a call back from No.2 when Godzilla was effectively revived) and had a definitive answer as to who the King really is. Kong resides inside the core and Godzilla remains king of the monsters! Also, let's not forget zilla's laugh during the fight. That shook me!… Expand

I have never rated anything in my life and this is the first time. I will say with full excitement this movie was awesome I loved it! It was completely action packed and was everything I hoped for. Saw this in Dolby Cinema, and seeing it two more times this week. This movie is incredible. Good balance of kong and Godzilla, and I enjoyed the humans. When they fight, THEY FIGHT. Best Godzilla made. Imo

Was stupid fun. Not quite as good as King of the Monsters in my opinion, but I don't want this to be the final MonsterVerse film. As a Fan of Big Monster's, this was the best Giant Monster Movie I have ever seen, not only did we see two very popular characters clash, but we saw the Legendary Mechagodzilla be recreated, the Plot made so much sense, people say it doesn't, I can't even explain how bad that is, this made so much sense, they say the people make it lame, without the people there's no Aircraft Carrier battle, without Human's, we don't get to see Hollow Earth, without Human's, how will Mechagodzilla be created? They don't think about any of this, I guess more fights are needed in Movies, but the Godzilla attack and Origins of Kobg's people with the War being shown, it takes care of that, people had many suspicions as to how this Movie will go, they tricked and suprised us very good, we wanted to see one or the other win, they made both of them win, Godzilla beat Kong, but Kong beat Mechagodzilla and saved Godzilla, this was an amazing way to have them both win instead of just 1, very suprising, very smart, very detailed, and some people thought is would be like a Batman Vs Superman scenario, but they made it so both win without needing to be friends, Teamwork, Equals, but not friends, this Movje was amazing, I highly recommend it, I hope to see a good next Movie, this totally makes up for the failure of Godzilla King Of The Monsters, I can't wait to see the Monsterverse X Pacific Rim Crossover Movie of they decide to go and do it, looking forward to the Monsterverse future.… Expand

Loved it but would've preferred if the movie was more longer, for some reason I felt like it was lacking something compared to the other movies.

It was honestly great the best monsterverse film yet. It feels like the most classic Godzilla movie yet in in the monsterverse and as a massive classic Godzilla fan I must say it was great.

The plot was exactly what i expected but it’s okay,not that bad but i was very impressed with the CGs and the soundtrack though. The monsters looked very detailed and natural and the fight scenes were also very enjoyable too. It's been a really, really rough year. I just wanted to chill for 2 hours and this movie did EXACTLY that. Made my whole week. Also it was free with my hbo max sub, which i already think is the best and only streaming service. So many good movies and shows. Netflix makes utter dog doo doo like Emily In Paris.

If you're a chick get netflix. If you're a dude get hbo and watch some godzilla. If you got boys then put this on they will love it. Honestly girls will too. Maybe not man hating feminists,godzilla is probably too masculine for them, but normal people will enough this… Expand

The main antagonist."MECHA G" is so evil, that he almost used Godzilla's own move on him, that's one disrespectful villain styled,despite his plot twist being terrible he is still great bad guy overall and I heard he's coming back. An easy must-watch for fans of the genre. The main flaw of the film is its human cast, which is inoffensive and serviceable, but not very memorable; the actors' performances are all fine enough (Rebecca Hall does especially well) but none of their characters are given much to work with. Viewers will be more likely to empathize with Godzilla or Kong than any of the people, and that's okay, because that's exactly the point- GvK is not a human drama that just happens to have monsters in it, it's a monster adventure that just happens to have humans in it.… Expand

Holy Crap that was fun movie to watch. My daughter loved the music score for all the fights. The fights were epic. First off if you go in expecting anything other than a fun popcorn movie you a bit pretentious. This movie delivers on the fighting and fun. the colorful visuals and Cgi were great, such vibrant-ness was missing from prequels,
the plot was decent and the whole runtime it was engaging to watch,the setup of rivalry and the whole journey from two perspectives of kong and godzilla it was amazing, the fast paced screenplay and music were brilliant and the characters were amazing, the madison from godzilla and the kid to kong relationship they were sweet, the fight and action scenes were spectacle and eye pleasing, the starting fight in ocean was dope, the plot of finding kong's home and finding energy source with it the godzilla's alternative makes godzilla angry it was amazing, the kong's journey to the home and the whole sequence of that it was literally eyepleasing, on the other hand the madison and the trio were fun to watch at there quest of godzilla's evilness and tech company, the podcast guy he was funny specially the scream at hongkong bunker it was hilarious, the ending with mechagodzilla and his own AI thing it was hyping up then the fight at last it was awesome. the godzilla and kong's interactions and teaming up was although predictable but satisfying, the happy ending with godzilla going and kong at home it was satisfying conclusion, Overall it was a engagingly satisfying and a vibrantly entertaining and awesome movie, its a great monster flick!… Expand

৪. Kong এর সাথে জিয়া নামের বোবা, বধির ছোট্ট মেয়েটির দৃশ্যগুলো ইমোশনাল করে দেওয়ার জন্য যথেষ্ট।

৫. খুবই সাদামাটা গল্প। অবশ্য দানব কেন্দ্রিক সিনেমায় সলিড গল্প কে খুঁজতে যায়?

৬. VFX, BGM মিলিয়ে এটা সিনেমা হলে দেখার জন্য পারফেক্ট সিনেমা। ৫০০ টাকা খরচ করে দেখলেও মনে হবে পয়সা উসুল হয়ে গেছে।

Absolutely ridiculous from start to finish and it's amazing for it. Plot is wacky, acting is stellar. But doesn't really matter. You're watching to see a giant gorrila fight a giant fire breathing lizard and God damn does it pay off.

Some great monster fighting!

Everyone was saying the human elements were horrible, but I honestly thought they weren't too bad. I actually enjoyed them a little. The human parts in the previous godzilla were so much worse.

The 4th entry in the monster-verse.

As a snyder fan I very much enjoy these types of movies, been a fan of old godzilla and kong films for years so seeing these 4 updated films and linked together in a huge saga is more than any fan canThe 4th entry in the monster-verse.

I enjoyed the movie for what it is and that is a straight up monster movie, the plot is a bit up and down and I do believe maybe and extra 1hr would have helped but when godzilla and kong are on screen it does make up for it when you have two titans take each other on.

I want more #MoreMonsterVerse and #RestoreTheSnyderVerse for DC.… Expand
