Worst movie of the year so far, hands down. The worst clichés of the romantic comedies and action movies of the last 30 years are somehow present in this. Its a Hallmark Channel style movie, but its not good enough even for the Hallmark channel. I love Chris Evans.

I also love Ana De Armas. However, they have no chemistry together. Doesn't help when all the couple do is argue throughout the film. Introduced arguing, and even the whole second act is them arguing. The action scenesI love Chris Evans.

Ten minutes in and I’m already looking for something else to do. This movie is so boring; not even Ana de Armas can keep my attention. This is the kind of movie created in a boardroom by people in expensive suits who take their advice from old clichés gathered here and there. The photography is okay-ish (still quite cliché), the rest is not.

Y'all checking this out just got to see it.… Expand

The first 20 minutes of the movie is dull and slow, and a more deft director could easily have compressed these opening, character establishing scenes, into less than half the space they take up.

Fortunately, after the initial lull, the movie runs at a good pace, is light-hearted and packed with great little cameos. A "date night" movie, if ever there was one, which will be enjoyed by couples for what it is, and hated by teenage boys who mistakenly thought they were getting an effects-laden action movie.

Mildly amusing total fluff diversion of a movie. Can't be taken seriously on any level but enjoyable enough if you just let it happen. On top of everything else, the romantic spark between the leads just isn't there.

At the start of the movie, Chris Evans & Ana de Armas meet very cute. That first date goes well, but when she ghosts him, he travels to London to surprise her, where he becomes embroiled in her real life as a CIA agent. That first date goes well, but when she ghosts him, he travels to London to surprise her, where he becomes embroiled in her real life as a CIA agent. In the obvious twist on the genre, she is the accomplished agent, while he is the helpless, hapless unwilling accomplice. Fortunately, the film not only features some beautifully-executed fights, but there's enough comedy to make the relationship enjoyable. De Armas makes a great kick-ass agent, while Evans is simply delightful with his comic reactions. Director Dexter Fletcher has put it all together with aplomb. Even though there are typical genre elements, the performances and action help it rise above to create a fun adventure. NOTE: A few famous people show up for cameos, including Ryan Reynolds, who's esp. hilarious.… Expand

Unwatchable garbage. I gave up watching halfway and I should have given up much earlier. A movie premised on stalking a woman and being obsessively clingy is not funny, it's just creepy.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Average role-reversal espionage romcom, I suppose. Ana de Armas was absolutely cast due to her prior role in No Time to Die, it pays off for her if you wanted more espionage action from de Armas.

However, it could have been ANY other intelligence agency and the CIA was not a necessity for an interesting narrative because the CIA are the 'de facto' bad guys.

Additionally, the entire premise of Evans tracking down Armas was to get his inhaler back... which he never used let alone asked for it back while they were thrust into a mission to "save the world" thus illogically needing it for a plot point at all.

I think 6 is a fair score, anything higher would do a disservice to intelligent people.… Expand

Die Tonspur ist druckvoll, klar und bedient auch die LFE-Tonspur sehr druckvoll, wenn auch nur gelegentlicht. sie könnte bei diesem Agentfilm ruhig etwas öfter krachen. Das Bildformat ist mit 16:9 sehr modern für das Heimkino, die Framerate mit 24fps leider veraltet. Ich würde diesen Film sehr gerne erneut auf einer 4k UHD in meinem Filmregal sehen und noch einige male wieder schauen. Gut gemacht Apple

A beautiful and very diverse romantic thriller that ends differently than I expected. A great cast that plays flawlessly. The picture looks a bit too soft as if there were too many filters on it. However, this is not noticeable when watching the film regularly. The soundtrack is powerful, clear and also uses the LFE soundtrack very powerfully, even if only occasionally. she could crack a little more often with this spy film. At 16:9, the picture format is very modern for home cinema, but the frame rate of 24 fps is unfortunately outdated. I would love to see this film again on a 4k UHD on my film shelf and watch it a few more times. Well done Apple… Expand

"Good enough" had to have been the motto on this set. This is the definition of lazy filmmaking. Bad writing, bad acting, bad casting from leads to supporting, bad editing, bad directing, bad stunts, and action. I'm not exaggerating any of"Good enough" had to have been the motto on this set. None of the bits really worked here, the action was terrible, a shocking lack of chemistry, weird and pointless cameos everywhere.

Wow..this is clearly a film made by a computer algorithm. Take two of the best 'actors', in this case 'Captain America' Evans and great 'ingenuene' Armas and made a romantic / slash action film out of them. Take two of the best 'actors', in this case 'Captain America' Evans and great 'ingenuene' Armas and made a romantic / slash action film out of them. The problem is that they are horribly miscast. Never for once I believed that Evans is a 'bumbling' farmer who went too deep with her new love. I understand that Evans wanted to branch out after 10 years in the MCU, but the fact is that between this and the Gray Man, he is becoming the 'king' of highly expensive, 'straight to DVD (i.e. streaming)' action films. He is a good actor IF he is in the right role. However, seeing him on screen made me appreciate how under appreciated Keanu Reeves is. Not a lot of people can simply walk in a role and somehow fit into multiple genres at once. Sure you know it's him, but somehow he molds into the movie. Watch this only if you have a lot of free time on your hands. Otherwise, just 'ghost' this flick instead.… Expand

Don't get me wrong, the movie as a whole is a lot of fun but I found some particular action sequences weirdly cut together, horrible green screen effects, and some cliche and occasional sloppy writing present. One of the big appeals of the film is obviously the 2 leads and the cast in general. Everyone does a fine job in their roles and they seem to be having enough fun. The plot too is fun, albeit predictable. The comedy landed generally well with me for the most part. I enjoyed the gender swap on the traditional types the film was trying to portray but beyond that and the film's great cast and occasional comedic fun moments, it really didn't offer anything extremely memorable.… Expand
