I found it to be a very interesting historical documentary with enough laughs from the interviewees to keep it entertaining and enough existentialist reflection to keep it necessary.

This documentary's title should be changed from "Gay Sex in the 70's" to "Gay Sex in New York in the 70's".

Like a time capsule of gay sex in New York from 1969 to 1981. For this 40something year old gay man who grew up in the South and remained closeted for 30 yrs, this film is a treasure and a reality check of a time that I've long idealized.

Gay sexual rebellion remembered with more nostalgia for the sex than for the rebellion makes this gay man more cowed than proud.

I guess calling this film "gay" wouldn't be considered a negative observation, but it was a little too gay for me.....and too much 70's.....i guess I should have paid more attention to the title.
