This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. A forma como as pessoas em geral olham para um artista/performer nos dias de hoje pode ser um grande trauma para o ser humano que ocupa esse papel.

Ninguém pensa na pessoa que está machucando com comentários negativos, comparações baseadas em ódio, na maioria das vezes gratuito, muito menos quando se tem uma plataforma como a internet, que aproxima mas, ao mesmo tempo, nos distancia no sentido pessoal, para dissipar todo esse mal.
O egoísmo faz com que o público veja essas personas como produtos numa prateleira, que não se afetam de forma alguma quando se escolhe a marca ao lado. Essa objetificação do ser cega todo mundo, e a mídia colabora para isso, espalhando o espírito de competição, a ideia de que não há espaço para mais de um no "trono"/"topo", incitando essa rivalidade de diversas formas.

Com este trabalho é possível ver de perto o lado humano da artista, mutilado física e psicologicamente por uma rotina pesada, por uma vida em que é considerada muitas vezes um produto e nada além disso. O sofrimento retratado é real e sério, e talvez por estar muito acostumado a olhar para ela como objeto de entretenimento, ou até "produto da concorrência", seja difícil, inaceitável/inacreditável para parte do público vê-la agora tão vulnerável, honesta de forma tão subjetiva e pessoal. O artista muitas vezes busca a fama como um sonho e, em grande parte dos casos, é desmembrado por ela. É cruel e pesado olhar para Lady Gaga dessa perspectiva, mas ao mesmo tempo nos sentimos representados, pois todos temos altos e baixos, e por meio desse documentário ela se mostra tão humana quanto nós. Ela luta todos os dias da vida para ficar bem, e também perde coisas e pessoas preciosas assim como nós. Ela tem momentos de alegria e de adrenalina que a impulsionam, ajudam a seguir; ela também se cobra; ela também precisa se esforçar e se superar para chegar onde quer. Ela também precisa ser cuidada, vista com compaixão e empatia, assim como nós.

Que o ódio vai acabar e todo mundo vai conseguir olhar para ela (e outros artistas) dessa forma depois de ver o documentário é impossível afirmar. Mas dificilmente alguém que ainda não conheça Stefani, e esteja aberto(a) a conhecê-la, vai conseguir ignorar a sensibilidade e tamanha verdade existente por trás da performer que se costuma encontrar à primeira vista na prateleira. Pode-se dizer também que esses expectadores vão se surpreender.
Já para os Little Monsters, que a conhecem como o ser humano lindo de alma e coração de ouro que é, este filme é mais uma prova do quanto ela nos ama, do quanto ela é capaz de dividir conosco a sua vida, a sua família, tudo que ela tem e tudo que ela é. Quando se pensa que esse amor e conexão não podem mais crescer, ela nos mostra que não existem barreiras, e nos orgulha com algo tão puro e verdadeiro quanto o GAGA: FIVE FOOT TWO. MUITO MAIS AMOR E COMPAIXÃO #PAS… Expand
