Great Animation, good character developement, nice storytelling and really humorous. A good movie to watch for the whole Family.
Only the constant singing ist a Bit annoying and the scenery a Bit boring. But the Animation is gorgeous.

A cynical critic might call this a blatant cash-grab, or a vain attempt to recapture lightning in a bottle by capitalizing on the success of the first movie, but anyone who’s paid even a little bit of attention should know that that’s already been done. Elsa and Anna have been absolutely everywhere between 2013 and 2019, so that success has already been capitalized on plenty. If the only incentive was money, this movie would not have been necessary – there was clearly a story left to tell and they wanted to tell it.

Sequels rarely ever come close to the level of the original, and Frozen II is no exception, but it delivers an enjoyable experience nonetheless. I’ve always been a geek for the world-building aspects of Arendelle and this movie expanded on it greatly by showing us a bit more of the land’s history and what lies beyond the castle. I loved this. The movie also gave all of our favorite characters plenty of time to shine and everyone had their own comedic and heartfelt moments.

My only critique would be the ending and the lead-up to it, which I felt was a bit rushed and… nonsensical. It happens all the time with movies like this; they get a riveting story going on, but when the time comes to wrap things up, they struggle to come up with a satisfying ending. The first movie was so well-paced and the quality stayed consistent from start to finish, so it was a bit disappointing to see them not quite hit it out of the park this time.

I hope that, despite the impending sea of cynics, they make another movie someday to bring this series to a close as a satisfying trilogy of movies. I think revisiting the conflict with Hans in The Southern Isles (and by doing so giving the characters as well as the viewers closure on his fate) could serve as a great stage for the finale, but we’ll have to see what they cook up.

This movie is set as if it were 2022 with a political woke agenda! Which makes this movie a retcon and nothing in it makes sense as an example: - "so called spirits" that do not existalso not in Frozen but in this part from out of nowhere - All characters were out of character, not themselves but degraded and annoying. - same money for the boring 'northuldra', 'white' grandpa who was 'bad' and nobody in Arendelle knew that but freak Elsa saw this in an ice memory ofcourse, of course, so boring woke Elsa and Anna have to solve it, stupid salamander and ice horse , diversity residents and guard that didn't appear in frozen at all but just appear here out of nowhere - story of Adgarr and Iduna also makes no sense that Iduna is Northuldra who of course fled to Arendelle, lived on the street there before Adgarr came to pick her up or something?? To then keep this a secret and lie to her husband and kids about "where she came from" and then never give a damn again, where did Disney get these cheap writers, this movie is a huge flop! With a worthless ending which fits this film exactly because it also makes no sense. Frozen 2 is so stupid! Expand

The story really makes no sense at all, it must have been made by writers who have never seen the first part. Nothing has been done with character growth, just adding an environment that has nothing to do with Frozen and people who don't fit into Frozen. And magic, where Frozen was about a girl with ice powers, there are suddenly more powers in this film in the form of animals (spirits) which really makes no sense. This whole movie was written by drunken lunatics with a lot of frustration because you can see that a lot in the movie! Zero points is still way to much for this! Expand

It's not even mature just woke and politically driven. With strong negative/hate message against single, introverted people and white men, disgusting. Because nothing made sense in this film, there are no answers or moments that have anything to do with the original, everyone got an annoyingly different characters, the 'background' story of Adgarr and Iduna is worthless, not well thought out, does not make sense and cannot be explained from Frozen (Frozen 2 ensures that their behavior towards their children has become conscious emotional abuse and lying, and in the same film Disney also tries to get rid of this by showing them cozy moments!). That forest just comes out of nowhere, just like the 'voice'. And the end well they just made up a 'bridge' and so-called 'connection' to give Arendelle a King and Queen in a very sneaky way, without the woke people complaining about Queen Elsa, very pathetic from Disney. And the real villians get the trolls gor their way. For the rest Anna is very annoying and immature in this film, Kristoff is superfluous, Olaf is present and Hans is missed in the film (that part where Elsa's hatred is stupidly invented) Frozen 2 is heavily superfluous there is no story in it, characters look like hobos, everyone is downgraded, there's no magic in it, with the motto go woke, go broke. Just a milked-out mess that should never have been made! For quick cash! Expand

The animation? Beyond amazing, the best looking animated movie from this year by far. (Sorry How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World, it had to be said.) The story and messages? Much darker than the first, and possibly one of the studios darkest in general. I consider it on par with Toy Story 3 in that regard. I could talk about everything else, but I can't get in too deep without talking spoilers and I don't wanna spoil it for anyone. As someone who cannot stand those actually-awful live action remakes from this year, Frozen II was a solid reminder that Disney can still make great stuff. Expand

When I first heard about the plans on making and releasing “Frozen II”, I wasn’t very keen to the idea, mostly because I thought that it would not do as well compared to the first movie—and boy was I wrong. I remember not watching the movie when it came out for months just because of my initial thoughts about it, and that’s one of my biggest regret ever. Although a lot might disagree, I personally think that Frozen II was so much better than Frozen. From the animation/character design developments, musical aspects, and most importantly, the storyline. Talking about the storyline, I really loved how they kept it unique and fresh rather than just releasing a generic sequel. I loved how rather than just introducing a new villain to keep the story growing, they chose to focus on letting the audience know more about the main characters and a background of their lives and how things came to be. Not only was it a very distinct approach on making sequels, it also kept the focus on the original characters from the first movie. I really applaud the writers for coming up with such ideas.
The characters also showed a vast change from the first movie to this. I mean, the movie was set three after the first movie and that’s a long time to have a chance for a character development, but seeing and comparing the characters between the two movies really showcased each of their growth. I’ve seen people talk about how the movie fell short to their expectations, but for me, I think there’s no better way of making a sequel for it. With the first movie having a central theme of overcoming loneliness and facing one’s fear, it seemed appropriate to continue the lore by having a theme of self-discovery and acceptance. It also gave viewers a sort of closure and clear explanation on some aspects. When it comes to songs, it also introduced some really iconic songs like it did with the first movie. I personally cannot compare the iconic songs “Let it Go” and “Into the Unknown” between each other because both songs are really good and match well to their perspective movie themes, but my personal taste brings me closer to “Into the Unknown” than the other. The only negative that I noticed is, like what most people mentioned, some part of the movie feels pretty rushed and some parts felt ‘messy and all over the place’. One possible reason to this could be the multiple writers behind the production and with multiple minds could result to different opinions and different paths that each individual might want to take.
Overall, I really enjoyed this movie and really appreciated the way more serious and mature aspects were incorporated in an animated movie and didn’t make it feel too heavy for younger viewers as well. I would give this movie an 8/10 for all the reasons I said, but would totally be down to watch this movie again.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This film tries to live up to the legacy carved out by it's predecessor, but at that end the film ultimately falls flat. It's not like this movie doesn't know what a is needed inside of a good sequel, however the execution leaves much to be desired. The main plot of the film revolves around Elsa and friends venturing off into the unknown to find the source of a voice calling out to her and discover the mysteries of Arendelle's past, which not going to lie is a solid set up for this movie. However this movie's major issue is that it focuses almost exclusively on Elsa giving the supporting cast next to nothing of significance to do. So for the majority of this films runtime our cast is separated wondering through an enchanted forest trying to find the others. The film seems to focus on the theme that no matter what in life changes love will always stay the same, which is a heart warming message, however in classic children's film fashion, their seems to be no negative consequences by the end of the film. Overall this movie is the stark opposite of it's bright color pallet 5/10. Expand

I actually thought the first one was decent, but this unbarable sequel is nothing but a cheap cash-grab. The story is awful, the songs are great but not as great as the first movie's. This movie could've been so much better. Look at some of the deleted songs and scenes, Cristoff had an actual story arc, but the writers decided not to go trought with it and make Cristoff a completley pointless character.
its makes me so upset to see this movie fail so badly at telling even a decent story.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. As a mixed-race indigenous person, this movie was an incredible experience, and had unbelievable levels of accuracy. The idea that it isn't a necessary addition to the story is entirely unfounded - it isn't a good story choice to just never explain Elsa's powers - and in my opinion as a content creator and minority, this movie is entirely superior to the first in just about every way spare for the music. It wouldn't surprise me to know that a majority of the critics tearing this film apart are white; someone white genuinely can't fathom how much this movie has meant for representation. Making two of the most popular Disney characters of all time be indigenous was an incredible move, and one that wouldn't have been doable in the first film, or else it wouldnt have received the acclaim it did nor have become nearly as popular. It was a genius move on the part of the writers to keep this information until after the original had been made one of the most fruitful Disney IPs, and it was the perfect way to get the needed representation while avoiding the film being a flop because of said representation, because like it or not, the subconscious bias against representation prevalent in consumerism can not be avoided and must instead be handled similar to how it was here. Unfortunately, it seems the importance of this move went over the majority of critics' heads, but that is simply par for the course when you pay someone to critique; often they lose sight of what makes something good or important in the first place, beyond simply fitting or not fitting a certain formula. The more adolescent characters, but I find that it lacks punch. We go less far in music and choreography it's disturbing! We are aware that Disney does not kill a character in these cartoons and it is a shame not to have maintained this choice which becomes weak.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I really enjoyed the first film, but I found the sequel to be a big disappointment. The whole story about the elements doesn't make a lot of sense and feels very contrived. It's like they were making it up as they went along. The whole "water has a memory" is just an excuse for them to portray memories as snow sculptures, as it's easier to show that way. The kingdom of Arendelle seems to be a little port with 300 people living in it. There's no villain to speak of. With Elsa we have another story about her self-indulgently running off to find herself, and yet again Anna is the one running behind trying to fix everything. Kristoff basically has a cameo role, and I didn't like the way his main arc ended with him marrying Anna, when Anna was clearly indifferent to him. I also feel it undermines the first film's message about true love not having to always be about romantic love. Olaf is Olaf. Graphics are great and there are some some good songs here, but overall for me this reminds me of The Lion King and Aladdin - two great Disney films that had poor sequels that were best forgotten. However, a fight occurs, resulting in Runeard's death and enraging the elemental spirits of Earth, Fire, Water, and Air of the forest. The spirits disappear and a wall of mist traps everyone in the Enchanted Forest. Young Agnarr barely escapes due to the help of an unknown savior.
Three years after her coronation,[b] Elsa celebrates autumn in the kingdom with Anna, Olaf the snowman, Kristoff the ice harvester, and Kristoff's reindeer Sven. One night, when Elsa hears a mysterious voice calling out to her, she follows it and unintentionally awakens the elemental spirits, which forces everyone in the kingdom to evacuate. Grand Pabbie and the Rock Troll colony arrive and Pabbie informs that they must set things right by discovering the truth about the past.
Elsa, Anna, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven embark to the Enchanted Forest, following the mysterious voice. After the mist parts at Elsa's touch, the Air Spirit, in the form of a tornado, appears and sweeps everyone in its vortex. Elsa stops it, forming a set of ice sculptures. The sisters discover the sculptures are images from their father's past. They encounter the Northuldra and a troop of Arendellian soldiers who are still in conflict with one another. When the Fire Spirit appears, Elsa discovers the spirit to be an agitated magical salamander, and calms it down. Elsa and Anna arrange a truce between the soldiers and the Northuldra after discovering that their mother, Queen Iduna, was a Northuldra who had saved Agnarr, an Arendellian. They later learn the existence of a fifth spirit who will unite the people with the magic of nature.
Elsa, Anna, and Olaf continue to head north, leaving Kristoff and Sven behind. They find their parents' wrecked ship and a map with a route to Ahtohallan, a mythical river told by their mother to contain all explanations of the past. Elsa sends Anna and Olaf away to safety and continues alone. She encounters and tames the Nøkk, the Water Spirit who guards the sea to Ahtohallan. Reaching Ahtohallan, a glacier, Elsa discovers that the voice calling to her was the memory of young Iduna's call; that her powers were a gift from nature because of Iduna's selfless act of saving Agnarr and that Elsa herself is the fifth spirit.
Elsa then learns that the dam was built as a ruse to reduce the Northuldra's resources because of King Runeard's dislike of the tribe's connection with magic and his intention to incorporate the region into his kingdom. She also learns he was the one who initiated the conflict by killing the unarmed leader of the Northuldra. Elsa sends this information to Anna before becoming frozen due to venturing into the most dangerous part of Ahtohallan. This in turn causes Olaf to fade away.
Anna receives Elsa's message and concludes that the dam must be destroyed for peace to be restored. Anna finds and awakens the gigantic Earth Spirits and lures them towards the dam. The giants hurl boulders aimed at Anna which destroy the dam, sending a flood down the fjord towards the kingdom. Elsa thaws out and returns to Arendelle, diverting the flood and saving the kingdom.
As the mist disappears, Elsa reunites with Anna and revives Olaf, and Anna accepts Kristoff's marriage proposal. Elsa explains that she and Anna are the bridge between the people and the magical spirits. Anna then becomes the new Queen of Arendelle while Elsa becomes the protector of the Enchanted Forest who regularly visits Arendelle as peace has been restored.

I saw it in theaters with some younger relatives, and since I liked the original movie, I thought this would be a fun movie as well. The plot is non-existent - I didn't even really know what was going on besides that Anna, Elsa, and the crew were following elemental spirits. I watched about 3/4 of the movie before I got SO bored, I just went on my phone. In addition to that, the ending was absolutely terrible. Would not recommend. Expand

This review contains spoilers. Ultimately, fantastic animation, above average music (nowhere close to the first), mediocre world building, and a sub-par story.

Much like a good portion of this movie, my feelings about it are bitter-sweet. Going into its predecessor with low expectations and getting a fantastic movie I was hoping that the sequel to such a shift for me could break through that sequel-curse barrier. I think it made cracks but got stock with not enough.

The music wasn't nearly as good. It has a chilling vocal as the driving story mechanism, but gets so overused. None of the numbers are catchy and there is simply too much Christoph songs.

The world building around the magic starts off interesting with elemental influence then Elsa is shown to be their connection/source/living god at this point. It felt forced and like the writers had no idea where they were going. Some cross between Irish/Native folklore, shamanism, and totemism. The ultimate source of Elsa's power is a gift because Elsa approved of Elsa's father's actions...wat. They could have dropped the whole source/5th element and the whole thing would have been much more cohesive.

The story and the twist is the same-old people who follow nature do no wrong and are betrayed. Way overdone and with nothing to indicate it should happen from what we see anywhere else in the movie. Very little expansion of Arundel except as token references or basic plot devices. Surprisingly Olaf was much more palatable and actually useful for expressing complex ideas (though in a joking fashion).

The beautiful music upstaged the first film and the animation made my jaw drop multiples times in the theater. My main gripe with this film is that I felt character arcs in this film were far weaker than in the first. That's a typical sequel problem though that tends to happen due to the difference between creating a world to tell a specific story versus telling a second story in an established world. That one gripe said, this was an absolute joy to watch due to the animation alone. The set pieces throughout this movie create opportunities for the animators to really shine and they fully deliver. This movie just set a new standard for this type of animation. On top of that, the music felt elevated above the first Frozen's. I'll need to listen to it more to fully understand why I feel that way, but I think the main reason is that these songs felt much more like they were meant to play in this movie and less like they were meant to be played in the car and get stuck in my head. That may just be because of novelty. Time will tell. The story is a bit lacking but there are still plenty of themes and messages to hold on to , even if the main characters are a bit more static than I'd prefer throughout the film. What really keeps Frozen 2 enjoyable is the stunning animation and exciting music. See it in IMAX if you can. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Well, here we have what could've been a masterpiece held back by its goat sh*t writing. What did I like about Frozen 2? Well, the animation was astounding. This is by far the best looking animated movie I've ever seen. The songs, in my opinion, were a big step up from the first Frozen. I actually liked multiple characters this time and not just somewhat Olaf. And that's where the praise stops. Now, what's bad about Frozen 2? As I mentioned, it's writing. The story doesn't really feel like it has much of a conflict, which can work if done right. It also doesn’t really have a villain, which I'd definitely say is a step up from Frozen 1's 47,000,000 different villains it loved switching between. I guess it has some form of antagonist with that dam, but I'm not so sure on that one. And the entire idea of the story, being called upon to go on a journey to learn about the past, isn't a bad idea. So how did Disney of all people f*ck it up so badly? They make it so Elsa hears some random voice in the middle of the night that calls her to abandon her friends (who follow her anyway) and her kingdom to go on some crazy adventure because she wants to follow a voice that may have just been a crazy hallucination. Not just that, oh no. You see, they have four elemental spirits, water, fire, earth, and wind (Avatar: The Last Airbender much?). But then they say there's a fifth elemental spirit. And you wanna guess who it f*cking is? ELSA OF COURSE! Yeah, the fifth element is ICE. F*CKING ICE. LITERALLY JUST WATER BUT FROZEN IS THE ELEMENT THAT BINDS THEM ALL TOGETHER. HOW DOES THAT MAKE ANY SENSE?! Ok, water and air I guess I can understand. Ice is just frozen water and air can be cold. Earth, maybe. But fire? No. No, no, no, no, HELL no. I don't get that one even a little. Ok, got that rant out of my system. Overall, Frozen 2 could've been one of the best animated movies ever, but is held back by its unbelievably bad writing. Expand

I just watched this show and can't remember a tune, much less hum one. Nobody ever seemed in jeopardy and was there even an antagonist?

Frozen 1 was a 9 or 10, even not caring anything about it in advance. This... pretty lame.

I saw it and enjoyed it in the theatre, I then hated it after all the hype and overexposureBefore I get to my thoughts on this sequel, let me briefly go over my thoughts on the first movie. My journey with Frozen is similar to many others. I saw it and enjoyed it in the theatre, I then hated it after all the hype and overexposure but I eventually came around to it again when I rewatched it last year. Do I think it has issues? For sure! Do I think it’s overrated? Yeah, kinda! Do I not like it? Of course not! It has good songs, great animation, great characters, some good comedy and a nice story with a good message. It feels like a classic Disney movie from the 90s, I can see why it’s so popular! As for my thoughts on the sequel, while I didn’t have a terrible time watching it, it was not as good as the first movie when it had the potential to be so much better. I was hyped when I saw the trailers, it looked really epic, but unfortunately I don’t think it really came together in the end. For starters, the story is WAY too complicated! It’s super exposition-heavy and I actually had a hard time following it at times! I have no idea how kids are supposed to follow it! It throws a lot of lore and history and mystery and conspiracy at you and it was just too much. It’s a fairy tale, not Avatar: The Last Airbender! It doesn’t need to be this complicated! The story is also WAY too fast-paced! It reminded me of The Rise of Skywalker. Yes. It’s that bad. It barely gives you any time to breathe and doesn’t give the characters a lot of time to interact. Most of the time, the main characters from the last movie are separated on their own little adventures. The only two characters that actually stay together through the whole movie are Anna and Olaf! This movie also introduces some new characters that are barely in it, but they’re set up like they’re supposed to be major characters! I don’t know why they would do that, it feels like a waste of time. Oh yeah, the movie’s, like, 100 minutes long! I feel like some of it could’ve been cut down. Like Olaf. He’s really annoying in this. I do have one more major issue with this movie and that’s the ending. Without giving anything away, I thought it was awful. It makes little sense, it feels rushed, it kinda makes the whole movie pointless and it turns the movie into a borderline white saviour story. Wasn’t a fan. You’ll see what I mean if you see the movie. I also predicted the plot twist pertaining to the closest thing this movie has to a villain, but it is a kids movie so I think I can forgive that. It just seems a little odd that that was one of the only predictable parts while everything else was so convoluted. Overall, while there were a lot of things that I did enjoy, like the songs, the voice acting, some of the comedy and the breathtakingly gorgeous animation, the story is just such a mess that I really can’t say this is a good movie. It’s not a terrible movie by any means, despite how I make it sound, but it’s certainly not very good. It’s okay. The story of the first movie was so simple, with an overarching theme and message of familial love. This movie is too overly complicated and I couldn’t tell you what the message or the theme even is. Is it about colonialism? Chosen Ones? Man vs. Nature? Familial love again? It has a lot of ideas but none of them are really fleshed out very well. I don’t know what we as an audience are supposed to learn or what the characters learned. Like I said, the whole movie feels kinda pointless. I feel like this could’ve been an hour-long Disney+ special or something, not the sequel to the former highest-grossing animated film of all-time! Overall, if you’re a die-hard Disney fan or your kids REALLY want to see it, give it a watch. It’s on Disney+. Otherwise, just rewatch the first movie. Very disappointing. Expand

With how successful the first movie was, of course they would have to make a second one, but the first film had some qualities that makes a follow-up very difficult. The fact that Frozen is known for its music virtually forced them to make more music, but no other children's musical ever had a successful follow-up, did it? Usually the good follow-ups are movies that focused primarily on plot and world building like Toy Story. Frozen was never good because of its plot, really, it was always more of a spectacle of song and emotion. It also wasn't made to have a sequel, as nobody thought it would do this well.

In any case, what we got with Frozen 2 was more song, spectacle, and emotion. When people dissect movies, they often fall into the pitfall of judging a movie as if it were a novel. Of course most movies fail by this standard. If you look at the whole package of visuals, performances, emotions, and excitement, Frozen 2 has all of those things, and does them all as well as anything else.

Since I'm reviewing this well after its release, I can comment on some things I've seen in other reviews. In particular: I've seen people talking about themes with indigenous people. I disagree that these themes exist to the point that the movie's creators could tell me about it, and I'd still say they were wrong. The people from Arendelle are medieval, without much technology. The people decribed as being indigenous have powerful magic, and Arendelle is shown to be AFRAID of their power. This is power that obviously is very fearsome, which is the entire basis for this franchise. The magic in these movies can being a whole country to its knees. The magic from ONE woman can do that, in fact. That's the basis of the entire plot of Frozen. Therefore, Frozen II is more about the fact that killing people is wrong even if you have a legitimate reason to fear them. Not about being nice to natives or whatever.

Anyway, I'm taking off a couple points for the fact that the movie is a little bit confusing for kids to follow and that the plot could probably be a bit better. I considered giving it a 7, but I gave it back a point because I feel that the franchise is now in a much better position to continue with creating better stories, giving the sisters a more well definted identity and path in life going forward.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I was pleasantly surprised by this movie. Far better than the first, one of the few cases where the sequel is better than the original. The political themes were subtle and fair (the little girl asking for an ice sextant). The story makes a lot more sense than the first one and the humor is nice for every age. The ending was a bit disappointing and plain. All that change for, actually, nothing to change at all.
It was actually a fresh breeze among all these politicized movies and series.

The only problem I had is the same for all recent Disney movies: too many songs.

As of writing, it has exceeded the box office take of the original. Let's get to the good part: gorgeous, stunning animation and stellar production values, incomparable to any studios in the world. Yet like Toy Story 4, its plot feels contrived and 'forced'. You can literally feel the Production team struggling to'top up' the original. For instance,'Let it Go' was the breakout hit for Elsa in the original, let's have her belt TWO anthems...sadly never reaching that 'lightning in the bottle' quality of the original. If Frozen 2 is judged by anyone who didn’t see Frozen one they will wonder why it was so popular. This Frozen didn’t hold my attention at all, the plot was weird and pointless with no moral or purpose. The native american theme is in appropriate for what is supposed to be a Norwegian based film. Trying to make it less “white” maybe? The desire for political correctness and evwryone following a schizophrenic Elsa who is now hearing voices makes you want to call the psychiatrist on this one. If I didn’t have the dinner and movie combo I would have considered bolting on this movie. More than half of what I see on Netflix is more entertaining. Is this the actual writer for Frozen one? Or was Frozen plagiarized in the first place? Such mediocrity with this one makes you wonder, but maybe I should just let it go. Expand

The animation and visuals were phenomenal and just gorgeous especially Nokk the Water Spirit, Bruni the Fire Spirit Salamander, Olaf, Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Mattias, Iduna, Sven, and the Earth Giants. The songwriting, music, and every song was exceptional. The soundtrack is my favorite soundtrack of 2019, one of my top 5 favorite albums of 2019, my 2nd favorite animated movie soundtrack, my 3rd favorite Disney movie soundtrack, and one of my top 5 favorite soundtracks of all time. The voice acting was remarkable especially from Idina Menzel, Josh Gad, Jonathan Groff, Kristen Bell, Evan Rachel Wood, Martha Plimpton, Jason Ritter, Sterling K. Brown, Alfred Molina, and Paul Briggs. The writing and storytelling was outstanding, I loved the darker and more mature tone and story. This movie was everything I hoped and so much more, a definite A+ movie. Expand

Unfortunately, the direction in which the characters were taken, combined with the somewhat lackluster plot made this film fall flat. Is it one of the, if not THE, best looking animated movies out there? Definitely! Their attention to detail is astonishing - with every environment, clothing, etc... crafted with utmost care. That alone, however, isn't enough to save the film for me, bringing the score to a 6/10. It's slightly above average, with incredible visuals and a sub-par plot. Expand

As a fan of the first one, you better believe it when I say I had high expectations for this one. Thankfully, they were met and maybe even exceeded. Even better visuals and even better songs make for an even more compelling and mature adventure.

The first one was a pretty great Disney movie. But I didn't like the story of this one, although they hit on some nice topics. And the movie looks overall pretty good.

Give it time - at the moment audiences are still viewing this film as a lucklustre sequel because they aren't permitting themselves to appreciate the movie on its own terms. It will take a while, but months orr perhaps even years from now when both films are behind us critics will reappraise the story, characterisation, visuals, songs and overall greater maturity of this sequel as superior to the original; despite Frozen being such an overwhelmingly iconic work of art. Most people loves antagonistic evil character that will make protagonist life harder. So more dramatic point there.

For me 2 is better because it's like a journey of finding your true self and know how beautiful & important of nature's are. I really enjoy their step by step of adventures in the beautiful nature's animation. The humor are on spot too. The only things better in Frozen 1: soundtrack.
