Extremely over-hyped. The first hour is mind-numbingly boring, the rest is a mediocre story about terrorism with a stupid plot twist which makes you wonder why people joined the fight club at the very start..

I don`t care if the point of this movie is deep. It`s still a movie with guys just running around doing pointless crap! This is Dumb and Dumber the serious version.

A classic that does not deserve to be one. The acting performances did not impress me (except from Helena's) the movie has some illogical sense in it & the director made it into a big bunch of surreal mess.

I watched Fight Club today. I personally thought that it was a jumble of half-imagined characters and absurd, adolescent philosophy. The twist was predictable and, frankly, somewhat menial. It is like a dumb, testosterone-feulled action film that thinks it is intelligent. Ed Norton, you have let me down. Expand

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Fight Club. The messageis extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of philosophy most of the message will go over a typical viewer's head. The messageis extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of philosophy most of the message will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Tyler's nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation- his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these themes, to realise that they're not just interesting - they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Fight Club truly ARE idiots. Expand
