Probably the worst of all 3 movies. It would be a 6/10 if it wasn't so woke.

Like previous parts, this part also had more potential but Netflix missed the opportunity. The storyline was alright and the execution was good, not great.

The cast did okay as a whole, however the lead characters are unlikable. Movie didn't have proper horror elements. It was just like a simple slasher movie. Emotional elements were missing, you may not even feel bad for any character when they die or are in difficult situation. Overall, movie could have been much better if there would have been little bit better execution.

The origin arrives and it's inevitable to feel cheated.

Fear Street used two films that said nothing to build a revenge and curse story on a theme that inevitably seeks to feel woke.

And I don't like to mention this kind of thing, but the whole background of the matter lies in a story about an innocent woman being executed for the actions of a man.
Only this time the occult, satanic and horror elements, are elements added to make the mix more commercial.

But did we need 6 hours to understand that?
Because you've gotta be honest, that's the important story, the events of 1994 and 1978 have no relevance because they were only crumbs of the actual story that transpired in 1666.
Call them collateral damage if you will.

The whole Fear Street trilogy feels built like a miniseries.
None of the 3 films makes sense without the others, therefore the weaknesses of each one are a consequence of its companions.
Loses quite a few points for that.

1666 lent itself to being the darkest installment and ended up being the most basic.

The origin is clear, but it spends an hour in it without being horror, but more like religious hysteria, while the second part of the film is precisely the second part of the 1994 storyline and its conclusion. But at that point I was a bit tired of the repetitive stuff.

They spent most of the time escaping. That's tedious.
Even the ending made me said "That was it?"
Three entire films for that?
Again, I felt cheated.

I just hope that what happens in the credits doesn't mean more movies.
That would already be excessively redundant to say the least.

The set design and costumesI really loved the first half of this film but the second half fell flat on its face. The first half had some really great moments in it, it felt much more restrained with its themes and ideas which I really loved. The set design and costumes looked absolutely incredible and I loved the reincorporation of all of the main characters throughout the two other films. The horror moments hit a lot harder than in the other two because of how little it showed. I do like the excessive violence in these films but sometimes it felt a bit much and I liked how this felt more calm except for one scene which was absolutely brutal and terrifying. These sequence of the film was very well shot as well. The exploration of the beginning of the curse was very engaging and interesting. It did have a twist that I could see coming from a mile away but it still was a good and interesting twist on the story and what we have been told. Then the second half of the film starts. The second half goes back to the 1994 setting which I find really boring and it goes back to these uninteresting characters. It goes back to being blandly shot with very limited camera angles and movements. We see the conclusion to these stories and it’s fine. Some of the logic behind it is very very confusing and the film’s only explanation for it is “curse broken” which didn’t do enough for some of these moments. The first half did so much right while the second half just fell back to the same quality as the first film. The only reason I like this film better than the other two is because of that first half. Definitely check at least the first half of this out but if you didn’t like Part 1 then you might feel disappointed. Expand

It was a single film spread over a trilogy but each new part offered nothing new so watching all three back-to-back became a total chore. I think watching them a month or two apart would make them more enjoyable. But that wasn’t my experience, my experience was over 5 hours of Fear Street which has a rather weak lore, forgettable characters somewhat salvaged by great acting, fairly average horror but generally high production value. My gripes are consistent throughout the films, this one was the least convincing for the time period, it felt like modern values and language with vintage clothes and some stereotypical medieval words. It’s frustrating for me to watch these three films and see no real development and because of this they get less and less engaging and therefore less entertaining. This is probably more disappointing than Ginger Snaps Back: The Beginning (2004). The drug binge in the forest was ripped completely from Skins 3.08 (2009) but without the great music, emotional backdrop, character development etc. Expand

The first half of the movie is great but when they go back to the 90s, it becomes really bland again.
