Ealy is earnestMichael Ealy plays a sports agent, who goes to a bachelor party in Las Vegas and ends up cheating on his wife with another woman (Hilary Swank). Needless to say, this brief affair comes back to threaten everything in his life. Ealy is earnest and gets lots of screen time to grimace in agony, while Swank clearly loves playing a psycho. This starts out looking like a marriage drama, but once bad things start happening it ramps up the tension. Even when things seem hopeless, the plot twists again and again. There’s more anxiety than suspense and the overbearing soundtrack makes intrusive attempts to ramp things up. Still, the fatal are played out with deadly disclosures to keep the audience guessing. I enjoyed this movie but definitely knew where it was going. It tried to set it up for a big twist but failed in my eyes. I’m not saying it’s a bad movie or failed. It is entertaining. Not much else to say.

It was a bit average to me in many ways. The story on paper was nice, but some details were a bit too weird there

Fatale, plays its way through each of the expected clichés, each layer becoming more vulgar and grotesque till it becomes unbearable. Hillary Swank looks a little worse for wear as the super bent Policewoman out to exact vengeance on any who foolishly cross her path. Stay home or find another session, otherwise turn off and change the disc. Best feature, Geoff Zanellie’s pensive score - although it also comes to a point where it has nowhere else to go, like the story. Expand

The first 80% of this movie is a metacritic 70, the last 20% is a trainwreck 20--awful wrap-up
