After reading a bit about this on UHM, I decided to give it a try. I even was excited to have a look, since recently Big Foot seems to be a theme of choice in horror. And it's a really bad choice. He is intriguing, but not really scary. "The Lost Coast" tapes did it best, but that movie offered an interesting spin, while movies like "Exists" simply fall short from the begging, for simple reasons - they are neither scary, nor intriguing.
"Exists" is directed by Eduardo Sanchez, most famous for his work on the original "Blair Witch Project", and yes - it's a found footage horror. It's quite clear that he uses the same style of shooting, but the genre has much evolved since "Blair Witch". Some people say that "Exists" is Sanchez' comeback. I say it's testament to the evolution of FFH.
I found the main flaws of the movie to be that it's predictable and that it has no build up. A good example would be the first minutes of the flick - they basically explain everything that is to come, and prove the lack of real build up.
This movie is not worth the time to watch, neither is it worthy of a full written review. It's badly shot, the story has been done before, even in animated series, the acting is mediocre at best... and it's simply a bad movie.
I don't recommend this - not to Blair Witch enthusiast, neither to Big Foot trackers, neither to horror fans. If you are looking for background horror noise while you do housework - yeah. Probably then I'd recommend it.… Expand

Let's say that I was expecting something worst.The acting is not bad and there is some action in the end.The characters are stereotypical and the movie was predictable but it was "fun" to watch.

I honestly did not expect to like this movie but it delivers. The music, editing and breakneck pace was great—even forward-thinking from a technical perspective.
