Summary:As their parents head out for a date in the city, the three young Thompson children – Jacob, Christopher, and Sally – immediately take to their new babysitter Anna (Sarah Bolger), who seems like a dream come true: she’s sweet, fun, and lets them do things that break all of their parents’ rules. But as the night creeps along and Anna’s interactions with them take on a more sinister tone, the kids slowly realize that their caretaker may not be who she claims to be. Soon it’s up to big brother Jacob to protect his siblings from the increasingly nefarious intentions of a very disturbed woman whose weapon is trust, and whose target is innocence. Quite a solid horror with some good acting, nice structure and a satisfying climax. An original idea too, as far as I know. Once again another experience to take in the adventure of these unknown movies, Emelie makes us love it a lot and then it soon becomes forgettable. Bring me a huge leap and don't forget about this movie.

Notable for the quality of the child actors, this film is certainly an interesting watch. The story (deranged babysitter) is one that's been told countless times before, however the nature of the way Emelie toys with her charges emotions differs from the usual approach. The story (deranged babysitter) is one that's been told countless times before, however the nature of the way Emelie toys with her charges emotions differs from the usual approach. This in my opinion sets it aside from anything that has come before. Some of the scenes are quite disturbing which is exactly what you want to see in a film of this nature. The ending is quite formulaic and leaves you feeling it could and maybe should've been slightly more dramatic.…Expand

It's a horror/thriller and the story seems simple enough, the parents of three children get a babysitter in while they are on a date and apparently her names Anna. She seems like a lovely young lady but turns very creepy as time goes on and even watches what seems to be dirty adult videos with the children she's babysitting and turns rather hideous and nasty towards them. I've to be honest I enjoyed the beginning and this film was great until the end which was awful and it's a dark film and Sarah Bolger was excellent as Anna or Emilie as one of the kids discovers raiding her bag to find out their so called babysitter isn't who she is intended to be. This so called horror lacks gore, blood but it is fairly scary but destroyed as the film develops and a lot of it's in darkness and you've no idea what's going on and the ending sucks badly. The babysitter even tells one of the children about her period which was seriously disturbing along with what seems to be a dirty adult video she watches with the children which was also disturbing. Great acting by all the cast but poor film and an ending that destroyed the good work originally done earlier in the movie. Avoid this film.…Expand
