Unfortunately, it is the latter. That means the plot is extremely simple with just about no surprises at all. It's like soup broth with nothing in it. There's this guy living in Afghanistan; his wife and daughter are killed by a drone. The 'pilot' actually flies the drone remotely from a cozy US suburb. For him the experience is a lot like playing a computer game flight simulator. But people really die. Then there's a leak of the identities of drone pilots. The guy whose wife and daughter were killed, goes to America, armed with the knowledge of who the pilot was, and confronts the pilot. What happens next? Nothing too surprising or interesting. It would have made a good half-hour Twilight Zone episode. But it's not worth a full movie, not without more complexity, both in terms of plot and character development. Though the acting is good. Luckily. Without that it would have been a 3. Expand

It does provide some insight into these operations and the stress/strain it can cause its operators. The final portion of the film where Imir is dining with Neil's family exhibits some tense moments where you evaluate yourself on what you would do and how soon would you act. Yes, there is some predictability but don't get lost in that, find the point of what's being done. Expand

For a right action, given a wrong message!

Another terrorism sympathiser film. This is a second film to I watch which highlighted evil wins over good. That too coming from a nation like Canada is a bad example. The other film was 'The Wall'.

Another terrorism sympathiser film. This is a second film to I watch which highlighted evil wins over good. That too coming from a nation like Canada is a bad example. The other film was 'The Wall'. There should be no mercy on terrorism and pisslam. If the characters, geographically altered to another continent, then it would have been a nice thriller with a message. The tagline was worst. You can't choose wisely, because there's no good terrorism and bad terrorism.

Anyhow, Seasn Bean was good. Except the opening, it is a one day event film and most of the film take place in a house. The film was one sided perspective. Hence it gave a wrong message! I don't know why some filmmaker set to give people wrong information. It's only nurturing evil over good. This film could set a box office record in the middle-east, but not in the good part of the world. Easily a skippable film of the year, decade and forever.

Have we become too desensitized to push-button drone strikes from afar, and lost the ability to consider the innocent bystanders..the ‘collateral’ damage? It’s a well-made movie with strong cinematic visual elements (especially at the opening) good central performances, and bares its soul allowing us to see some of the sorry outcomes of assassination from a distance - this time, offering insights into family impacts from both sides. It may not suit action-only fans but also doesn’t outstay its welcome. For some, it might seem a little confusing at times but patient audiences should appreciate the overall impact and statements. One of the better Canadian productions. Expand
