Most enjoyable movie I've seen in theatres in quite some time. They captured the magic of what made Dragonball so great for the last nearly 40 years. Eagerly awaiting the next movie or TV series.

Easily the best Dragon Ball movie ever made in my opinion. The animation was fantastic for about 95% of the movie and the fight scenes are some of the best I've seen from the DB series in a long time. I loved that they kept the focus on Piccolo and Gohan for the most part throughout the entire thing. While the story itself wasn't that great, I loved that they went out of their way to answer a ton of smaller questions fans of the series had about DB Super. These were very minor and inconsequential things, but it's amazing how many things they went out of their way to answer. I can definitely recommend this to any Dragon Ball fans out there. I just hope that alot of the progress isn't just forgotten whenever the next show/movie is released, as has happened in the past.… Expand

Not bad CGI, even better in fights. Cool moments for the fans of original Cell Saga. Wasted potential of new, super looking Gohan, coz of short on-screen time and really bad main villain

As far as I can tell, this was a phenomenal experience. Go watch it regardless if you have done it online. The movie is utterly worthwhile.

Excellent art style, expressions full of life and a story that is fun despite not being very ambitious. I look forward to seeing more in the manga about the new characters and transformations introduced in this movie.

For those who said this movie looked bad, it honestly does not; Plus Gohan, Piccolo, and Pan were completely redeemed from their previous portrayal. Also, the Gammas were the showstoppers, and Cell Max even though was imperfect, was nice as a mindless villan since there's no connection to the previous one. This is a very American film, although this is a movie made in Japan. Only thing I see Japan was " to drive on the left". It seems that Mr. Akira Toriyam really likes American superhero movies. No wonder American love Drangon Ball!

I entered this movie with low expectation and I enjoyed it. I like how they references a lot of weird things from the DB Universe like Gohan using glasses despite fighting with perfect vision, or Goten and Trunks being small kid for the wholeI entered this movie with low expectation and I enjoyed it. I like how they references a lot of weird things from the DB Universe like Gohan using glasses despite fighting with perfect vision, or Goten and Trunks being small kid for the whole duration of Super, or Piccolo never using his giant form again.

It's just a fun project and I love seeing Gohan getting some love.

The animation style is definitely peculiar but I love how the studio tried new things with it: there's a lot of camera work going on that would never be possible on 2D. I cannot say it's my favorite, but I enjoyed it none the less.… Expand

I really enjoyed this movie. It is one of the best Dragon Ball movies. Leaving Goku and Vegeta out of the spotlight, this one is focused on Gohan and Piccolo.

The story in this one feels perfectly paced and has a Dragon Ball feel to it.

This movie have a great story, good characters, best 3D animation and the most important thing put more focused on other members of Z-Fighters specially Piccolo (Toriyama's favourite character). Toriyama wanted to make Piccolo great again and also wanted to gave him a new form, in this movie he done it all and you all gonna like it. The best thing about this movie is that we don't have enough of Goku & Vegeta. We've seen enough of the greatest duo and we wanted to see others badly. This movie proved that DB seires has its existence even without Goku & Vegeta. Piccolo is main lead character also most focused character here. His relationship with Pan is nostalgic. He get the new form which known as "Orange Piccolo" and believe me it's one hell of a transformation. Gives same vibe as SuperSaiyan transformation. Movie have best humour, best music and best action.… Expand

This movie focused on the Earth scenario with Son Gohan Famz, Picollo, etc. Even though, there is a glimpse of Son Goku & Vegeta in a very far place from Earth.

I really love this movie because it's so nostalgic as one of the most iconic anime in the world.

The main plot is Son Gohan's famz and Picollo got an unexpected enemy in a very peaceful earth situation while Son Gohan has already almost lost his strength due to his mundane as a scientist. Son Goku & Vegeta can't help them coz out of communication. This flawlessly makes sense coz both of them could easily beat the enemy, LOL.

The main pros are a well-narrated story and easy to understand. Gladfully, the quick intro really helps us to catch up with the story of Dragon Ball Z. Personally, I barely remembered the whole story but big thanks to these, LOL.

Next pros, this movie is really nostalgic with all of the chars and Japanese Anime ambiance. Japanese jokes & cultures, social construction & morals, stupidity & innocence are always part of the Anime Ambiance. This is hard to be missed by anime lovers.

Lastly, I'd say it's a reasonable movie. Not too long, not too many jokes, not too hard to understand, and everything seems perfect. Especially, the story is reasonable, coz the main enemy makes Son Gohan and his friends struggle due to lack of training.

Besides that, everything is just standard. Moral value, visual, and music is nothing special except my main motivation to lit my nostalgic memories.

Nevertheless, this movie is fun, so nostalgic, and easy to catch up! As typical of anime ambiance, this is ready to energize us with all of the hard work and motivational things. Perfect to cope with our burnt-out, so don't miss it!

Top notch animation, attention to detail and voice acting really made this movie "Super". However, the start is a little slow and I have my nitpicks, overall, I would Glady rewatch this anytime.

It's a fine film tho I would've prefferd traditional 2D animation, however they did a fine job on mixing 3D with 2D, but the story itself for me it's 50/50 I like the fact that piccolo gets the spotlight and Gohan to buy they weren't writtenIt's a fine film tho I would've prefferd traditional 2D animation, however they did a fine job on mixing 3D with 2D, but the story itself for me it's 50/50 I like the fact that piccolo gets the spotlight and Gohan to buy they weren't written very interesting in this movie piccolo is still training somewhat and gains 2 new transformations he gets his potential unleashed form and a he gets orange piccolo form Wich looks badass imo, Gohan on the other hand gets a transformation that's simply fan service and doesn't really earn especially since Piccolo stated he stopped training again his dramatic increase in power in to Beast Goan is not earned and anyway and yet somehow has the strength to be stronger than super Saiyan blue.
Makes no sense.
Now the villains in the movie Gamma 1 and 2 they look more like robots than androids and I didn't find them particularly interesting at all they needed more time to develop. Also the fact that the red ribbon army is back has been done to death it's not an original idea it just seems lazy.
And the big bad Cell Max was not a terrible idea but I wish they just brought back Perfect Cell he was leagues more interesting than a giant raging monster
I mean resurrection F brought Frieza back why not Cell he was my favorite villian in the entire DBZ anime.
That's about it Pan was fine I guess piccolo was pretty cool Gohan was alright but the Villains weren't interesting.

Dragon Ball Super Broly was way better and done right do that again.… Expand
