I think the most hilarious thing about this movie is that a lot of the people who have praised its characters are people who would actively criticize the kinds of things they perpetrate.
I don't know about you, but watching two people that are turning villains by doing the same things that others did to them isn't the best of premises, even in a comedic key. **** people are **** people no matter what. And I'm not the type of person that turns the other cheek, but when you preach becoming the very thing you're supposed to be attacking, I have to say that it will be virtually impossible for me to root for you, and that´s what inevitably happened with this movie.… Expand

Zoomer comedy with some fun moments, but derivative and misleading in general. Same formula as Not Okay. And it's funny how the people that make these films think that the trending songs on Spotify will "elevate" them.

"Fight Club" at the time of today's high school. Fincher's film is openly quoted. I don't understand what this one has to do with Godard, equally mentioned, but I can recognize when much of the plot is Hitchcock's "Strangers on(Mauro Lanari)

I don't understand what this one has to do with Godard, equally mentioned, but I can recognize when much of the plot is Hitchcock's "Strangers on a Train" [1951] recontextualized in a teen movie. The era of "Animal House" (Landis 1978) is farther away than ever, this is meant to be a phenomenology of zoomers (someone wrote: "The 'Thelma & Louise' of Generation Z"). Some of the dialogue was painful to get through. Maya Hawke felt awkward in this role for some reason, but Camila Mendes was great and I need to see more of her in more than Netflix productions. It was cute and fun, easy to watch (mostly) and I did not see the twist coming to be honest.… Expand

The twists are unexpected, the morality confronted in this apparently fluffy film is real and relevant. If you don't like films about women then this is not for you. Do Revenge is the sort of film that Netflix should specialize in: mid budget films in genres that may not be welcomed anymore in today's cinema going audience. "Do Revenge" es una pelicula que si esta buena. Siento que la pelicula esta bastante bien y sus personajes tambien, por mas de su ridiculez. Tiene una trama muy cliche pero la forma en que la trean hace que puedas difrutarla bastante, aparte"Do Revenge" es una pelicula que si esta buena. Tiene una trama muy cliche pero la forma en que la trean hace que puedas difrutarla bastante, aparte de los problemas tontos y la exageracion, los chistes pueden ser bastante graciosos y un poco cringe.

La trama teiene un plot twist normal pero que por lo menos le da un giro a la pelicula. Los personajes se desarollan un poco aunque no creo que se pueda llegar a conectar con ellos porque son bastante vacios. Los colores me dan ganas de matarme, osea son demasiado coloridos y entiendo que es "la gracia" de lo absurdo y exagerado de la trama pero ME MATA. En conclusion, la pelicula esta bien para verla una vez y reirte con amigos. Pero no llega a hacer nada nuevo ni nada muy bueno, aunque por lo menos noto el esfuerzo de hacer algo disntino a lo que siempre nos dan en la industria del cine.… Expand

While i might be not a big fan at some of the decision and some nit picky here and there for sure, i think Do Revenge is for the most part a good solid entertaining teen Netflix original film, Camila Mendes and Maya Hawke giving their mostWhile i might be not a big fan at some of the decision and some nit picky here and there for sure, i think Do Revenge is for the most part a good solid entertaining teen Netflix original film, Camila Mendes and Maya Hawke giving their most entertaining performance and so do the rest of the cast, it says that the story was inspired by Hitchcock's Strangers On A Train which i did watch a long time ago, barely remember anything from it because of a reason, and the reason is because out of all Hitchcock's movie that i've watch, Strangers On A Train was my least favorite, but for Do Revenge i enjoy the hell out of it particularly the main plot of the film, it is possibly another rare case of a better Netflix original film (at least for a lot of people, not for me though), i also really like the music and the visual, overall Do Revenge is a super entertaining film, go watch it!… Expand

this movie had so much potential with the plot but turns out the edition and direction isn't that good. it's a good movie! The plot of this movie is very unexpected and good, the performances are not lacking, the big problem with this movie is some characters without so much depth that you can't feel empathy(at least for me) it's a movieit's a good movie! Woke zoomer movie trying to be edgy... I don't know why I watched this. I'm not it's target audience even though I'm a sapphic.

It's been quite a long time since audiences have been served a high school comedy with so much style and sass, and Do Revenge quells that hunger adequately. Paying homage to classic teen movies like Cruel Intentions (1999), MeanDo Revenge

It's been quite a long time since audiences have been served a high school comedy with so much style and sass, and Do Revenge quells that hunger adequately.

Paying homage to classic teen movies like Cruel Intentions (1999), Mean Girls (2004), 10 Things I Hate About You (1999) and Clueless (1995), Do Revenge paths down familiarity albeit with a fresh and colourful take. Do Revenge knows what it's about and doesn't stray away, it's all about delicious and dark fun, with several plot twists scattered around. The acting is spot on and the score just makes everything better. Should go on to become a teen movie staple

Apesar dos inúmeros filmes do gênero, passando-se no ensino médio, esse filme até tem um bom roteiro, cheio e reviravoltas apesar das conveniências.

As duas atrizes principais, que juntam para planejar vinganças, estão ótimas no papel, ainda que seja difícil engolir algumas soluções, além do maniqueísmo dos personagens, que são rasos a maioria do tempo.
Ainda que seja uma comédia, nem é tão engraçado assim, é apenas interessante ir acompanhando as reviravoltas, como se estivéssemos descobrindo quem seria um serial killer, em quem confiar.
Uma e abusa de uma série de esteriótipos, e isso pode ser lido como ironia ou não. A experiência, ao final, não foi tão ruim assim, mesmo com toda a saturação do gênero.… Expand

Max’s friends turned against him and joined in on the “good” side considering how they quite literally were fake friends. Including how Tara was dating Max in secret, behind Drea’s back.
