MILF Abby, her son Sam, and her friend Jen, all set out on a hike into the mountains for what we find is to scatter the ashes of Abby's late husband. As the trio hikes further up the mountain and away from civilization, there are a lot of emotions coming to the surface when they notice an unfamiliar pack left abandoned by their camp. We all know how this goes. A man in a black trench coat (what?) and large sunglasses (what what?) begins his stalking and of course it happens in the dark of night. Jen is the first to disappear and unfortunately things do not end up well for this supportive friend. Abby is drugged and dragged away next and is tied up by trenchy to begin her torture session. First to go, one of her teeth. Before the stalker could proceed any further with his plan, Sam comes to the rescue with his dad's pocket knife and frees his mother. They both escape his clutches separately and now it's a race to find another human being or some way to communicate to outside world. We watched this movie split between two nights. Why? Maybe it was because the movie lacked quintessential horror appeal to carry us to the end. Or maybe it was because we've seen this storyline before - hiker in the woods, killer, someone dies, someone survives - and there wasn't anything striking to keep the interest peaked. Either way, we were entertained, but bored. Best reason to kill hikers - None, literally no explanation provided #truepsychopath Best surprise attack - Are you sleeping? Nope, just ready to hit you with a stick by the campfire, maybe that will kill you Best Corey Hart reference - I wear my sunglasses at night so I can, so I can. Don't switch the blade on the guy in shades oh no - oh yes, you be dead by a blade Mr. Trenchy (Or are you? Michael Myers always manages to survive...) Overall Grade: D - that was a dull blade Expand
