Good mixed between comedy, drama and action movie. The performances are good, casting excellent and this is a perfect, signature role for Woody Harrelson.

It's fantastic! Funy and sad, heroic and sweet. Harrelson must be one of the greatest actors out there!

Woody Harrelson is hilarious in this movie. He is just as funny as he is in Zombieland. The rest of the
cast is amusing as well. The movie is very good and should be seen by everyone, A+.

Maybe... one of the worst movies I have ever seen! Don't go looking for a comedy, it's not played for laughs. Everything else is a smut attempt to be funny and tell a sad story. It fails on all accounts. Avoid this film like the plague!

Superbly hilarious & extremely touching. Not only is this one of Woody's best roles, "Defendor" is also one of the best superhero films of all time.

This is Woody like you've never seen him before: a mentally challenged man who becomes convinced he is a superhero. It is humorous, occasionally witty, and tragic.

On one hand this movie can't decide if it's a comedy, drama or action film, but on the other hand, it does all three quite well. In the end, even though you can guess what's going to happen, the movie still keeps your interest level high. The extras are engaging and the making of isn't just a circular back-slapping exercise. Although there's still plenty of that. All in all I'll buy a used copy when one becomes available. "Oh, no! Not the lime juice!" For sure.… Expand

Don't be deceived, this is not a comedy as it may occur, I can't call it a drama, but at least this is a serious movie about a guy with childhood trauma and as a result major social and psychological problems. He becomes a wannabe superhero as an escapism act to the surrounding world. The movie touches some adult themes like criminal, prostitution, sex slavery etc. Woody Harrelson made a decent job and a memorable character, the other actors are good as well. Overall, the movie is okay, but boring at times, also it is presented like a comedy most of the times and it really can spoil the impression, creating the wrong mood.… Expand
