Pros: great acting, meaningful characters. Cons: too similar to the ring. Overview: if you have not the ring yet, then watch this film, as it will be fresh and original for you. but if u have, then it won't.

Probably had potential with this cast, but somebody let set production take over. Too "dark" and too much "water", with too little suspense and flow to the story line. I was hoping for better from this movie especially with the talents of both Connolly and Roth on board but I found the "twist" easy to spot from a mile away and within about fifteen minutes of the movie starting. It didn't ruin the movie butI was hoping for better from this movie especially with the talents of both Connolly and Roth on board but I found the "twist" easy to spot from a mile away and within about fifteen minutes of the movie starting. It didn't ruin the movie but it did detract from the suspense and given that this is what the movie is built on there wasn't much else going on to keep my interest.… Expand

Dark Water has to be the most predictable and the most forgettable horror movie I've seen in years. Jennifer Connelly dose a solid performance in the movie but that's really it.
