A complete disaster.

It seems that Blake Edwards and the production team of the Pink Panther franchise didn't know when to stop and focus efforts on new projects. If the previous film was almost an insult to the memory of Peter Sellers, butA complete disaster.

It seems that Blake Edwards and the production team of the Pink Panther franchise didn't know when to stop and focus efforts on new projects. If the previous film was almost an insult to the memory of Peter Sellers, but still works as a tribute, this film has no reason to exist beyond the financial interest of those involved.

The plot, poor and poorly written, shows Sureté's attempts to find a new chief inspector capable of replacing Clouseau, whose plane has disappeared. It turns out that the story doesn't bring anything special or interesting, and it just doesn't work, a factor that was very important for the failure of this film with the critics and the box office.

Herbert Lom is back and continues to look good and committed to his role. The same can be said of Capucine and David Niven, an actor who would pass away months later. Robert Wagner does what he can and Roger Moore shines, but the rest of the cast is limited to going after the main actors without much merit. With a poor but functional cinematography, a satisfying soundtrack and a good sequence of credits, the film manages itself at the cost of the tasks that lie ahead.… Expand
