Corey's a cool guy. I'm glad he's got a role. He does okay in it too. But c'mon, he plays a sort of transsexual sleazy vampire? This is the sort of thing Gene Simmons did back in the 80s. It didn't work for Gene then, it won't work for Corey now. And yes there's a movie out there where Gene Simmons plays a demonic transsexual.

There's not much to say about the movie. There's an overly long opening narration. You quickly discover the movie's going to jump back and forth in time telling Nash's story out of order. Thanks to the long opening you already don't care enough to bother with these jumps. The film runs out of budget 30 minutes in and has two characters fight in a totally dark room so they didn't have to pay any extras to stand around and cheer. In fact there's rarely more than 2 characters onscreen in any scene, almost making it more of a stage play than a film.

To be fair, maybe the movie isn't jumping back and forth in time and the plot is actually happening inside Corbin's head... I can't care enough to bother to sort it out for them. The editing really makes it hard to tell. Other people have broken down the technical side, but the editor on this thing really must be a film school student. The mistakes are incredibly bad. Like a conversation between two characters will keep switching back between face-on shots of each person, back and forth, back and forth- no cuts to an establishing shot to set the scene, no over the shoulder to show the tension between them, just each person's face in the center of the screen one after the other. You don't do that when you film a conversation. It's terrible. They weren't trying to do anything smart with these cuts, they just don't know how to edit a scene.

Just when you think the movie is too dumb to watch, Corbin takes off his shirt again and he has his "NASH" tattooed on his own chest. Who did that? Who thought it would be a good idea to tattoo a guy's name on his own body? Especially when that actor is the director's brother, who's listed 5th down in the credits. Amazing....ly bad.
