A grim thriller but not as straightforward as I expected.
Cliff Walkers is a story set in northeast China during 1931 that follows four Chinese spies executing a covert operation.
The plot certainly lent itself to something moreA grim thriller but not as straightforward as I expected.
Cliff Walkers is a story set in northeast China during 1931 that follows four Chinese spies executing a covert operation.

The plot certainly lent itself to something more uncompromising and much better structured, but unfortunately the development doesn't allow much time to process the events that unfold on screen.

Perhaps what I find most conflicting is how at times it tries to be a more serious film than what it initially proposes, and at other times it only seeks to be entertainment, and it's at that point that the film gets more enjoyable.

It's worth a look, but I recommend it with reservations.… Expand
