I have never seen a dumber movie. The acting is so unbelievably bad, the storyline makes absolutely no sense and is also unbelievable bad, no good plot, an absolute catastrophe. And wtf is this cast? James Corden? Pierce Brosnan? Camila? AndI have never seen a dumber movie. Cindrella's hair looked the same when she turned into a princess - MESSY. The storyline was all over the place and nothing seemed to flow. Waste of time watching this crazy movie. I read the other user reviews and don't understand the 10 ratings. I think those raters are friends and family of Camila to bring the score up. Most were written the same day.… Expand

Disney need not worry about Amazon's adaptation of Cinderella. This film is a total train wreck. None of the songs are memorable. Might have helped if they hired actors who could actually sing. The only good character choice that was made was Billy Porter as the fairy. The decision to have Ella be in a pickle by having to chose between the prince or her dream to become a designer was set up in a good way, but the conclusion was lackluster and boring.… Expand

Did this film genuinely try to adapt this film for modern audiences with modern issues? Yes. Do I agree with what they were saying? Yes. Do I agree with what they were saying? Yes. Did it also feel as if the filmmakers were checking off a checklist instead of being genuine? Also yes unfortunately. I commend the film for trying to be more modern but it also serves as a massive detriment to the film. Instead of taking an issue like climate change seriously, they use it as a joke to ruin the tension of a dramatic moment. There is nothing wrong with making a film talk about modern issues but you have to feel genuine about it instead of forcing it in. There are some modern changes I like. Billy Porter’s race and gender swapped Fairy Godmother was a great addition but he’s only in the movie for less than 5 minutes. Pierce Brosnan was good and I liked that the film joked about his inability to sing but that was about all I liked. The rest of the film was not good or an absolute train wreck. Like the tone. The tone is all over the place and is often ruined by a misplaced joke and it works as a huge detriment to the characters. Most of the performances are not great. Camila Cabello is a good singer so why did they auto tune her to hell. It’s so bad that at points, it is often extremely difficult to understand a word she is saying. James Corden is absolutely awful. It seems that almost every film he is in, the quality of it seems to suffer and it’s worse here. All of the characters are often insufferable to watch and that’s because the script is awful. The dialogue feels forced and weak and the sequence of events is lackluster and stupid. It doesn’t help that this film is an absolute snooze fest for 90% of the runtime. I found it hard to pay attention to. Besides maybe one song, every other song is a modern rendition and they all suck. I tell you that I genuinely laughed when they did Seven Nation Army. All of the technical aspects are unimpressive for an iconic story like this. The cinematography is boring, the lighting is bland but the sets and costumes do look good however. I would highly recommend passing on this and watch the original Disney animated film instead.… Expand

I enjoy satire, I enjoy music, I didn't enjoy this piece of junk.
I watch movies to be ENTERTAINED, not to have "messages" thrown at me for 90-120 minutes.

Songs are not the best I’ve heard, sounds like not all can sing
Definitely not all can act, and while camilla does seem to try, the prince is forgettable at best and the rest of the cast seems to barely care

The costumes are bad, so are the environments, so much that trying to understand what period this movie was supposed to depict is a challenge.
Could not finish, and going half way through was somehow already an accomplishement.

Cinderella is film from which one I know everything what was trying to be .
Because of that I lowered my standards before watching it but still I didnt like this film at all.

Camilla did fine acting job but nothing great .
Rest of cast was annoying except some rear cases where some where funny at some points.
Story was not interesting to me since I saw different versions of it including Selena Gomez one...

Nothing wrong g with aisle 21st century updating g, but that's not what Amazon achieved here. It isn't really representative of any real America, it's only representative of what some marketing department wants us to be; sniveling **** who lose there **** the minute a non-white person does anything.

Un bodrio total de principio a fin, Camila Cabello actúa pésimo y Billy Porter como el hada madrina da pena ajena y cringe, toda la película es un desastre, lo cual hace ver a la versión del 2015 como una obra maestra.

The actors were "over acting " and the main character Cinderella was something not Cinderella for sure.
