Marvel knows how to 'deliver' a good movie. This one was not as action packed as some other efforts by the company and as a result, it is almost refreshing. Although there are a few spots where it slows down just a bit too much, over all the pace is nicely mixed.

I like the story and I will avoid any spoilers for those of you who have not seen it. The query as to “what”, lies in the overall plot being clearly another attempt to build a base for another marvel movie or two in the future. This film feels too much like a bridge to other projects. That itself is not entirely bad, but the film does not need to serve as a prop or lead in for other “bigger” movies. This movie had the chops to stand alone.

Chris Evans is again excellent as the out of his time, boy scout; Captain Steve Rogers, AKA Captain America. Samuel L. Jackson has an expanded role as Nick Fury and of course is awesome. As a funny side note; my son and I recently watched ‘Pulp Fiction’ and we both kept waiting for Nick Fury to say “motherf****r”. Of course it didn’t happen and he didn’t recite Ezekiel 25:17 either ;) Robert Redford does a nice job as Alexander Pierce but this is far from his best work. Redford’s character is involved significantly in this film and much of the plot twist revolves around him.

There are a few surprises in the plot development of this movie. Big surprises. Really big surprises. The ending of this film may leave you wondering where the hell Marvel is taking us. The after credits of course provide some insight, so stay put till the very end. I like the Winter Soldier. This antagonist character is done quite well and merges important aspects of the Captain America story from this latest round of films. I will leave it at that to avoid spoilers.

I think that the two stand alone Captain America movies and the Cap’s role in the Avengers has been outstanding. Having Natasha Romanov as a major character in the Winter Soldier is fabulous and I am very glad they merged the two so well. Really, is there anyone that doesn’t like watching Scarlett Johansson kick ass in a skin-tight outfit, I mean really, anyone? And her trying to set up Captain Rogers with a date? There is a piece of speculative foreshadowing I can reveal without damaging the credibility of my “no spoilers” promise. Romanov and the Cap in a short lived romance in some future Marvel movie? Nah… probably not.

This is a good movie and you should see it.

Not only does it have some of the best action scenes in the entire "Marvel Cinematic Universe" canon but it also has a great story and Captain America himself is given a lot more depth and development. Not only is this a great superhero movie, it's a great political thriller. The story was intriguing and the acting as well as action was good too. This is one of Marvel's best to date... easily the best of Phase 2 thus far.

I absolutely LOVE this movie. I was gripped by what was happening throughout almost the entire movie! There was one bad actor, but I do not think that just because of him this movie's score should be brought down.

Fantastic movie and by far the best of the MCU movies so far in my opinion. This is not just a superhero movie but is also equal parts action and thriller and has a well written story, action and fight scenes and some interesting new characters.

A lot of lovely references just like all Marvel movies and Cap was definitely more fun to watch now that he had EPIC hand to hand combat.

But I was really surprised on how much I enjoyed this film, It acts as a squeal to the first Captain America film and The Avengers so there is lots for the story to cover. It follows Cap working with SHIELD and highlights how different his views are compared to that of SHIELD. All the big name SHIELD agents are back to :Samuel L. Jackson, Scarlett Johansson and Anthony Mackie. The Action in this movie (What really Matters) Is amazing, Car cases,Great CGI and just all around ass kicking. It held my attention much better then the first, great for a weekend movie night.

It is so good I can actually recommend it outside of fans of superhero films. With a few tweaks it can even be done as normal movie and would still work well. Story: It is set after the events of the first Avengers movie which has changed the world. Steve Rogers while working for S.H.I.E.L.D has partly adapted to the modern times but still struggles with the changes as modern times a hard to grasp. During his daily running training he meets Sam Wilson a former soldier who is now a consultant for traumatized war veterans who wants to help him too. Meanwhile S.H.I.E.L.D is planing something big that can change the world to a better state. However Steve who does not like the project, Natasha (Black Widow) and Nick Fury find some inconsistencies in the project. With this the story starts. It is an impressive story line. Like I already said the security vs freedom element and dilemma alone is praiseworthy. This is not all as the twist are magnificent and the characters and story enhance each other. Like the prequel it has strong characters, a lot of character development and the interactions are enjoyable and entertaining. Also it has impacts the follow up movies will continue. It is my favorite non team movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and best Captain America movie. For clarification: I see Civil War more as Avengers movie or Iron Man and Captain America movie. In total it has an immersive story with real life connection, enjoyable moments and clever writing. Lets continue with the characters. Chris Evans already won me over in the first movie and is the definitive Captain America and Steve Rogers. He is a paragon and role model but also a human who struggles and has doubts and insecurities. This makes him relatable as we can see us in him and what we wish we could be at the same time. Then we have Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow aka Natasha Romanoff. This was the closest she got to a solo movie. She has a lot of screen time and delivers an awesome performance. Of cause we have the titular Winter Soldier where I cant spoil the actor. He fully delivers and you can feel all his emotions and impact. If you have seen the later movies or are familiar with the comics this will not be a surprise but remember some have not seen them or read the comics. With Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson we got a really good addition to the cast. He is and will be a staple. Again Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury rocks all his scenes and is a badass. Robert Redfort as Alexander Pierce surprised me. I did not think that he will be in a superhero movie. An awesome performance and truly enjoyable. The rest of the cast also deliveries and we got a really remarkable performance by genre standards. Presentation: Again all MCU movies have great special effects. This movie makes no differences and those are never doubted. The immersion is excellent. Then there are the well choreographed fights. Everything is a step up and works amazing. The elevator scene alone is a highlight. The soundtrack is again really good and enhances the atmosphere. I think I should also praise the Russo brothers for this great movie. Luckily this was no luck as all other movies since then were awesome too. Special praise for Captain America speech. Overall this became my favorite and I re-watched it a lot. It hits all the right spots and makes it a classic. Expand

I was coming into this movie expecting a lot of explaining and story behind the Winter Soldier himself. I thought this movie was gonna be all about Bucky Barns (who is the Winter Soldier by the way). This movie doesn't focus on the villain as the title suggest, but it focusses a lot on SHIELD and Nick Fury and Captain America's relationship. This isn't a bad thing, as it adds a lot to what we know about SHIELD itself. It also has a lot of Captain America shield action, and him fighting stuff (which is always cool). Also, the acting and tone of the movie is really good. It was dark and gritty, and it felt a lot like a spy type movie. It didn't feel one bit like a comic book movie, unfortunately. It took a lot from the pages of the Dark Knight, but I thought the realism was too extreme. In a world where the Hulk exists, you don't have to do that. The plot was also really confusing and hard to follow along with. Overall, the action sequences were great, and the tone and acting were both outstanding. I loved Black Widow and Falcon as supporting characters as well. Unfortunately, it was confusing and at times a bit slow. The good still out-weighs the bad, and a 8/10 is a fair score. It is the best Marvel phase 2 movie so far, and it challenges Iron Man 1 as a the best movie in the Avengers world besides the Avengers itself. Expand

The cinematography looked good aside from the shaky-cam and too many quick edits during some of the fight scenes. The story is presented as a mystery and is compelling enough that the long run time doesn't seem too long. Some of the twists are a bit predictable, but the movie just manages to fit a lot into its run time and doesn't have some of the dragging pacing issues like The Avengers did. There are plot holes if you think too hard about it, but in general it's just an entertaining movie. I didn't even really like the first Captain America movie much but I liked this one a lot. I dig. I'm not sure how re-watchable this movie would be since most of its plot hinges on suspense, mystery, intrigue, surprises, etc. but it was a fun trip the first time around. Expand

Better than the first one for sure. I think Captain America rose up to his stage and became who the comics intended him to be for the most part in this one. It was a well structured plot that kept you awake and guessing. If not the plot,Better than the first one for sure. I think Captain America rose up to his stage and became who the comics intended him to be for the most part in this one. It was a well structured plot that kept you awake and guessing. If not the plot, there were a few females with decent screen time to drool over so that works too. It delivered simply a solid movie about a super hero that isn't all flash (no pun intended) and gloss. Hard to do these days. A usable plot coupled with moral dilemma was a good angle. I'm not majorly impressed with the acting or the scale of the movie though. Wouldn't a problem this big like probably get some of the other Avengers involved? The more important ones? Just sayin. Marvel's taking over and there's not much we can do except hope they can stay consistent. Not all of them are great but this one is worth a watch. Expand

Verdict: Marvel Betrayal

Story: So we have seen what happened to Tony Stark after the Avengers now it is time to look at Captain America. He has learnt to adapt to the future, but still hasn’t really made any new friends. This story shows how the SHIELD has been compromised and Captain America has become the villain, he must clear his name and find out what has happened and who is responsible. Seems simple really, we have a few personal battles like Captain America and The Winter Soldier true identity. In the end it is a welcome addition to the series and with a post credits scene that really builds to the next chapter but in the end I found this just another average comic book story that is important to the series but not the most memorable. (7/10)

Actor Review

Chris Evans: Captain America now used to the future but when Nick Fury is killed, he is the only one who can uncover the truth, but he does bring along a couple of familiar faces and a few new faces that are welcome allies. He has to prove who was responsible before he is taken out but SHEILD. Good performance from Evans who is growing into the role as the films come. (9/10)

captain

Samuel L. Jackson: Nick Fury planning to always be one step ahead at SHIELD he gets blocked out of the system before being target by assassins. Fury would eventually return to Captain America for help before he is killed leading to everything else that happens. Good supporting performance with typical Jackson intensity. (8/10)

fury

Scarlett Johansson: Black Widow the deadly assassin who teams up with Captain to uncover the truth, with her brilliant combat skills she makes a great addition to the team. Good performance showing her kick ass skills. (8/10)

widow

Robert Redford: Alexander Pierce the head of SHIELD who has been planning his own take over using his connection with HYDRA. He uses his intelligence to get what he wants and push people into supporting him. Good villain performance without using any combats just his brains. (8/10)

redford

Sebastian Stan: Winter Solider an assassin who is trying to kill Captain America, but he is also a man from his past, Captain tries to talk him around but he is fully programed to kill and complete his mission. Good performance making a villain with conflict. (8/10)

winter solder

Anthony Mackie: Falcon a soldier with big dreams that bumps into Captain who gives him a chance to prove himself, which he does becoming a trust ally in fights. Good performance in the sidekick role. (8/10)

falcon

Director Review: Anthony Russo, Joe Russo – Good direction to keep the franchise going in the right direction. (8/10)

Action: Good action that keeps upping the levels as film continues. (9/10)

Sci-Fi: Good look at a future world that could happen with the wrong people in power. (9/10)

Settings: Good settings used but nothing that can really make the sense different. (7/10)
Special Effects: Solid special effects used throughout. (9/10)

Suggestion: This one for all the franchise fans and all action fans will enjoy this. (Action Fans Watch)

Best Part: Car invasion.

Worst Part: Filler for next part.

Action Scene Of The Film: Final Fight

Funniest Scene: Interrogation scene.

Believability: No (0/10)
Chances of Tears: No (0/10) Chances of Sequel: Yes Post Credits Scene: Yes Oscar Chances: No Box Office: $713 Million Budget: $170 Million Runtime: 2 Hours 16 Minutes Tagline: In heroes we trust. Overall: Just Another Superhero Film

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. So, I've been watching a bunch of the Marvel movies lately to prepare for the new Avengers one, and I think this might be my favourite so far. I came at it from a weird perspective because I hadn't seen the first movie, but I was told some of the major plot points about it ahead of time, and I found that it was much easier to follow along than the first Avengers movie was for me.

Anyway, I thought this movie was really well done. Captain America is a surprisingly likeable and human character in the movies, particularly in the friendship he strikes up with the army veteran. The innocence of his dynamic with Scarlett Johansson is also really refreshing--there's always so much sexual chemistry projected onto everyone she interacts with in the Marvel movies, so it's wonderful in this movie to see things like a fake kiss between her and Captain America without any sexual tension whatsoever.

The good character dynamics aside, I really enjoyed how different this movie was in that it showed so much of the inner workings and turmoil of Shield. It made for a compelling premise, partly because it's always nice when you get some Samuel L. Jackson in a movie, but mostly because it was so interesting to see Captain America working against the establishment and being forced to conspire against the government in the interest of the public. Also, the back story with the German scientist who made his way into Shield and founded Hydra within it was a really neat premise, and Captain America exploring the camp where he originally trained (as well as his recollections later) was really well done with effects, so that it conjured up the past without resorting to too many flashbacks. Overall, this was a really solid movie and I enjoyed it a lot.

May Stan Lee rest in peace and may this copy paste film be assaulted with a glue gun.

The first Captain America was a commercial for The Avengers. This film at least progresses the plot in some ways through some exposition and adding a new character to the universe, but it's mostly just the same drivel once again. The film starts by just feeling like cut material from a previous Marvel film. It feels like these people have no idea how to start a movie well. They just get straight to the talking and boredom. They do go on a ship to fight but for some reason Captain America can't take out this one guy even though he can hold a helicopter still in the third Captain America movie. I think it took the film like 40 minutes for me to start getting invested in it. We get these couple scenes of Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson going in public while cleverly "hiding" from people looking for them. It was pretty fun.

Unfortunately that's where it all comes down to. This movie is just "pretty fun". You watch them fight and talk the exact same way they did in the last film(s). You get a couple set pieces here and there and they're cool but also very samey to the last ones. It's fine for what it is but I'm getting so bored of it. Marvel also expects you to have watched like half a season of the show "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." for you to be up to date with the plot, and I'm not gonna f*cking watch that show. Seriously. There is a scene early in the film that gives you information on Captain America's character and Peggy Carter, Cap's loved one from the first film. So if you haven't seen the first film, that scene is a nice way to give you a small dose of backstory, but after that it's just straight into the complicated plot of S.H.I.E.L.D. and HYDRA. And to be honest it's just kind of ehhh. I'm really not invested in it at all. And what makes it even worse is the fact that Captain America is still a boring character. Chris Evans does what he can but there's not a lot to do with a character this lame.

At the same time it's easy to rant a little bit about these films but also I feel like I've nothing to say really. Especially with these Captain America films. They're just BORING. It just feels like the whole point is to introduce a new character for the next Avengers film and save the most interesting story bits and consequences for that too. Just same s*it, different day.

But what really set this movie apart is its story. It's talks about the debate between freedom vs security with great touch realism, while blending it with characters that could never exist in our world and the film does seamlessly that it doesn't feel campy or fake. The first 10 minutes of the film was pretty boring. Starting an action film with a lame scene is never a good idea. I literally put off watching the film in its entirety for a few months because of that.

The good part starts as the conspiracy plots against Fury, Captain America and his group unfold. Many good action scenes, bringing those parts on par with The Avenger's action scenes.

Next, he assembled with some other Superheroes to save the worldThe future sure has been quite a time for Captain America (Chris Evans). His first encounter with the modern world saw him running through Times Square, confused and scared. Next, he assembled with some other Superheroes to save the world from the disgruntled brother of a fellow Avenger. In Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Cap faces off against an internal threat and an organization that is just as powerful as S.H.I.E.L.D, as well as a familiar face and new adversary from his past. Life is rough for Cap. On top of everything, he is still trying to find a way to successfully assimilate himself into present day society. You think saving the world is hard? Try figuring out the internet, getting back on the dating scene, and making new friends at the age of ninety-five. Thankfully, there are only a few things Cap needs to get through the day; his trusty vibranium shield and his handy notepad with a slew of suggestions for catching up with the last seventy years, and Cap is ready to take on the world–or corrupt government organizations. Either or, Cap is always ready to save the day, even if he has to take a beating while doing it.

When I first became aware that the directing/producing brothers behind episodes of ’Community’ and You, Me and Dupree were going to be responsible for extending the Captain America canon, I may have gotten a little worried. Thinking that Joe and Anthony Russo were going to follow in the same footsteps as Captain America: The First Avenger director Joe Johnson, focusing more on the comedy and special effects of the Superhero genre and less with the complex, unflinching patriotic mentality of America’s greatest super soldier, the Russo brothers sure proved me wrong. It’s movies like these that make happy to swallow my words and stand corrected, knowing that audience members are able trust that the television medium is one that can be used as an adequate platform towards advancing characters in film as well.

Substituting as much VFX work as possible for a very organic and old-school action approach, Captain America: The Winter Soldier is certainly the best Phase Two Marvel film so far, and may perhaps be the standard film to compete against in a post-Avengers film world, or at least up until the Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Always on a mission, it seems that Cap lives to work, not works to live. Especially since he has been in deep sleep for the last little while. While the United States government is surely getting the most out of their ridiculously expensive investment, the government trusts that their super solider is never compromised and his dedication and hard work to his country is never skewed. When a secret organization with similar interests to those of S.H.I.E.L.D threaten to kill twenty million people, Cap is sent to fight at sea, on land, and in the air. Accompanied by his trusty sidekick Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), the two seem to always be pitted within the same missions but always having ulterior motives. Commanded by their one-eyed superior Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), S.H.I.E.L.D must face off against their most ruthless enemy yet.

One of the biggest issues I will continue to have with Marvel’s stand-alone films from now on, is the fact that once conflict reaches a certain level of danger, like lets say a global level, I will always ask, “Where the heck are the Avengers? And if not the Avengers, where is Tony Stark? The Hulk? Someone? Anyone?” No problem could be too big for the super-powered team of freedom fighting Superheroes. This is one film where I questioned the presence of Tony Stark? Was he just waiting to see what Cap would do on the other side of the country while he sat at home on his couch?

Essentially, Captain America: The Winter Soldier is a team effort in crime fighting, with Black Widow and Sam Wilson/The Falcon (Anthony Mackie) helping out are star-spangled Superhero this time around, Cap sure doesn’t seem to be without powerful friends. What was also refreshing was finally seeing Nick Fury get in on the action, providing the film with one of the best car chase scene Marvel ever assembled. One of the virtues of Captain America: The Winter Soldier stands by is the fact that, you don’t need to wear a mask to be a Superhero–which might explain why Cap always insists on removing his.

At times, the film may seem like Marvel’s take on Minority Report anticipating danger before it even happens, and upholding the idea of ‘peace’ for the sake of the world. But as the Head of S.H.I.E.L.D operations ironically points out, “peace is not an achievement, its a responsibility”. So when S.H.I.E.L.D is corrupted from the inside, right under their noses and Cap is left to face-off against a super-soldier baddie, later known as the Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), the organization really has some explaining to do.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. In a year when I was hyped to see The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (Trust me its day is coming). i was blown away by how much effort and how thought provoking the subject manner is. This is Marvels version of "The Dark Knight" as it dives into subjects that very few superhero stories go to. Captain America is conflicted with his role as an American icon as he realizes that the America he fought for in World War II is not the same America as it is today. He figures out that America is more secretive than it was in its earlier days and his ideals are challenged like Batman before him. Every pearson he knows is either dead or withering away in their old age which makes the character have a tragic backstory but he still has a sense of optimism that few other heroes have. This is the film that made me realize why Captain America has lasted for so long. That is because he represents the ideals that America strives for and not necessarily it's Government. He is even challenged on a personal level when he is fought against his sole opposite the Winter Solider. Like the Captain, he is a solider that fights for his form of government but unlike his counterpart, he was forced into the experimentation which perfectalty reflects the major differences between the two forms of government. It is also a challenge when the Winter Solider was reveled to be Captain America's old war fiend Bucky Barnes. The revelation of Hydra pulling the strings in U.S politics might be seen as silly but it is a nice allegory statement about how America has become more fascist as it is about to kill innocent people for things that they might do instead of what they would actually do. Said reveal is so intriguing and so mind boggling that it reminded me of the interaction between Raiden and the Patriot A.Is from "Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty". In fact both stories have very similar themes. The only problems that I have is that I wish the Winter Solider was more developed and the "death" of Nick Fury had no emotional weight because I knew they would never kill him off. Despite this the film is full of political intrigue and action sequences are spectacular to see and it is a film that adds to the universe. Expand

It's also the rare sequel that somehow manages to improve on an already great first installment. Anthony and Joe Russo wisely give this comic book tale a topical, politically-charged twist. The story itself plays out more like a spy thriller than that of a typical superhero adventure. The action has a real sense of weight to it, and that makes you care more about what happens to the characters.

Chris Evans continues to shine as Captain America, and Scarlett Johansson really comes into her own as Black Widow here. Anthony Mackie adds levity to the surprisingly dramatic events, and Robert Redford brings the appropriate amount of gravitas. Overall, The Winter Soldier is a smart and thrilling superhero movie that doesn't strictly stick to formula, allowing it to feel fresh. The action is superb and the performances are uniformly great. It's one of the very best MCU movies.

I liked all the cloak and dagger stuff for sure in this one. The actors performances make this movie more than the script for sure.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This movie is a well paced, action filled movie that brings the political aspect to it, what I Always like. The debut of the Russo brothers, who have changed the MCU forever with this movie and the movies they would later direct as well. This movie takes a toll on Captain America & co. Great fights, and the twist that The Winter Soldier is Steve's lost friend Bucky was totally unexpected (when i first saw the movie). This is one of my most beloved movie in the MCU. Expand

Russo Brothers replaces the throne after appointing Chris Evans as their unbeatable knight.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Russo Brothers takes this franchise to a whole new level. And luckily- as Kevin Feige reported- and surprisingly this stage is politically correct and blow horns the society with an evidently essential message. Anthony and Joe Russo, the directors, have managed to blend in all the genres i.e. from humor to drama and from politics to action, but the way they paint sci-fi is inspiring, not for the highly rich detailing but how thought provoking it is. Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, the writers, as mentioned, fuels on the elements of the film and not the antics. No matter how MCU textbook formulaic the film is, the antics are distraction and what I love above all, is that the Russo Brothers too categorizes it as one big hokum.

Either fast forwarding the jibber-jabber or installing humor in it, they butter up the medicinal part of the script. Chris Evans suits up for the third time and yet this feels like a birth. Probably, for the fact that Russo Brothers are themselves the fan of this righteous man. And they are well aware of the fact that he is probably the most easiest character to connect and communicate with, from his references- yes, they are outdated, yet familiar- to his action sequences that are more mano-y-mano than you'd usually get.

The key to glorifying these films was to craft it into an espionage thriller and the result is as its banner claims to be "marvelous". Robert Redford, as their trump card delivers with pretty much straight forward attitude all the way through his track. The antagonist Sebastian Stan does make you clench your jaw with a loud yelling-like background score where Anthony Mackie gets overshadowed and Scarlett Johansson stays far away to beat her own drums after introducing the nickname The Winter Soldier for him.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier was a good spy movie with great action. The villains are also above the admittedly low MCU standard. The movie is also a game changer for the MCU.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier is one of my personal favorites in the MCU. Bucky Barns (Sebastian Stan) is just straight up badass. The movie excels in storytelling and has a really good plot: a spy-centric thriller in a superhero movie? YES! The reveal that Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) is The Winter Soldier is just amazing and creates a really good conflict for Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) to deal with. The CGI was sometimes a bit dodgy but not bad at all. Action scenes were very well choreographed and some actually had depth to them instead of just being an action scene. The plot point where Hydra has been operating as a parasite within S.H.I.E.L.D. was also executed very well and had real weight to it: It's going to change the upcoming movie a lot. As I said: It's one of my personal favorites in the MCU and it will surely satisfy other moviegoers.

During the moment this movie came out, it was by far the best Marvel movie or super hero movie to come out. This was Jason Bourne mixed with Captain America. Feeling was different and set the tone for future Captain America and Avenger movies...

I don’t hate their movies, but most of them are average entertainment at best. But, like with the first Iron Man, it is possibly for them to put out a really good movie. And Captain America: The Winter Soldier, in my opinion, is Marvel’s masterpiece. This film is AWESOME! The acting, directing, and writing are all done to perfection. This film is very reminiscent of a 70’s Spy thriller. Conspiracies, Espinage, all the fun stuff. There is also emotional weight to the film as well between Cap and the Winter Soldier. There’s also a heartbreaking scene in the first 15-20 minutes of film (so it’s not a spoiler) between Cap and an older, dying, Dementia/Alzheimer’s ridden Peggy Carter. This is a woman who was very likeable and charismatic in the first Cap movie, and whose relationship with Cap had a lot of chemistry, so to see her physically/mentally fading away was really gut-wrenching. However, this movie is remembered for one primary reason: the action. Holy **** the action is INCREDIBLE! It’s very reminiscent of the Bourne films, particularly Ultimatum. While shaky, it’s not distracting and the Russo brothers clearly know what they’re doing. Who knew the Community guys had it in them? Bottom line, SEE THIS MOVIE! It’s worth your time. Expand

Needless to say, Chris Hemsworth and Tom Hiddleston are fantastic in this movie. It is a step up from its rather weary predecessor, with more action and less Dutch angle shots.

'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' is the epitome of comic book action movies. I'm not saying all the comic book movies don't have very good action, this movie, in particular, delivered so much of it. It's 'Mission Impossible' worthy!

Mas nada que atrapalhe o resultado do filme, recomendo demais, a Marvel fez o trabalho de casa.

Entertaining!

'Captain America: The Winter Soldier' makes for an enjoyable flick. Chris Evans does great work as the lead character, while Scarlett Johansson gives her most fun to watch performance in the MCU up until this point; it would've been great if she had such a role pre-'The Avengers', so she wouldn't have felt so out of place to me in that.

Anthony Mackie and Robert Redford are notable in their respective roles, as is Sebastian Stan - even if, to be honest, his character's connection with the lead didn't quite hit as hard as the film attempts - at least for me. I didn't really believe how his character came about and how Barnes acts throughout, Stan does well though. Samuel L. Jackson is also good.

Everything else is exactly what you'd expect from a film of this size. Great effects, entertaining action and a satisfying story. Very good, all in all.
