This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Perfect. The cast are great actors, the script was great but something a little off, the aesthetic of it and the music list is great. A great story but I wanted to know why that "glitch" hacked the cam girls. I would love for it to have a sequel since Alice is now a new cam girl and probably warns other cam girls about? you know like another movie and the glitch reasons comes out. This is one of the movies I can watch a million times and never get bored of. :)… Expand

Good movie with an interesting and creepy premise. The performances are all pretty good, it's solidly directed with some pretty tense moments. The ending however, isn't very good. It's a good thriller and a decent movie to be invested in

I had a feel that it's movie from the Black Mirror's universe, when I am watching it. But, it isn't. And it is not a bad side.
The twists of plot is interesting and horrible. I was scared, when it had showed another stream in a her home.

Nice to look at, acted well and good soundtrack but it's one of these films that tries to make a clever statement about online identities and just comes across as pretentious, confusing and weird. I really must be living in an alternate universe from the critics. That was one of the worst, most nonsensical, poorly acted and written movies I’ve ever seen. This is another exemple of movie with good premises, but the writers had absolutely no idea how it should end.

The two-thirds of the movie are great. To be honest, I didn't expect to be so invested in the story. But as the movie progresses,This is another exemple of movie with good premises, but the writers had absolutely no idea how it should end.

The two-thirds of the movie are great. To be honest, I didn't expect to be so invested in the story.

But as the movie progresses, the plot becomes less ans less clear. The writers didn't seem to know if it shoud take a serious or supernatural turn. In the end, no one really knows. And the last 15mn are a big mess of disappointment.

In conclusion, it's kind of a netflix-standard movie. Very intruiguing synopsis, leading nowhere. WHAT A LETDOWN… Expand

Even still it doesn't commit to this as the movie isn't sure if it is supernatural or if the antagonist is just a 'glitch'. No one does anything that makes any sense, and the movie as a whole seemed to exist solely to satiate Sado-Masochist desires of the viewers, with sexualized suicide and bondage. If you are into cam girls or BDSM maybe give this a watch, but there is nothing here that one couldn't find on other porn services.… Expand

Sometimes it's good to get to the end of a mystery film without an obvious explaination, leaving you to ponder after the credits roll. Cam didn't do this for me, my final thought was "Ok, so what happened?" Cam didn't do this for me, my final thought was "Ok, so what happened?" It just felt like I had somehow missed a critical scene or two to make the experience feel complete.

I read a review elsewhere after watching the film that included the thoughts of the writer, it would seem that the message he wanted to convey was the double life of the cam girl, the completed different personalities. I didn't feel like he really achieved this, and to be honest that seems like such an obvious and unremarkable aspect to the lifestyle it's something i kind of ignored as filler content. although the acting was good enough, I never felt compelled to care about the character, in either of her lives. It seems the writers intent was to serve up the mystery as a means to drive a story about identity. It was the mystery that allowed me to persevere with a story about a character with to unlikeable personalities, and ultimately left me feeling like i wasted my time with this film.… Expand

The pacing was very slow. The plot was sort of meandering, and the concept wasn't really that attention-grabbing. The positive reviews must be because of the taboo of the subject material, but if there's a bigger message there it's not impactful.

The first movie I have seen where being a sex worker isn't shown as a character flaw, it isn't shown as something to be overcome, it isn't something to be "saved from". It's just a job.
