Cabin Fever gave me cancer of the eyes, ears, and ass. I am now dead, and reaching out to you from the great beyond to tell you to not make the mistake I did! This movie made me dead!

The rating on this film reflects on the idiocy of people who rate movies on this site... not well, it doesn't reflect well upon them at all...

Firstly, this is a horror movie, the gore was beyond my liking. I don't have a "thing" for melting human flesh, however, I won't rate it less for that, but that's where people on this site go wrong it seems. They see something that makes them throw their food up and it's an automatic 0 rating. Whenever you see a rating of 0 you should automatically know in your deepest of ... "minds" that the person who rated it is a total and utter idiot.

If you don't like horror movies, don't watch them. If for some reason, whatever reason you watch a horror movie, don't rate it. I'm sick of these low ratings horror movies have because of idiots who "try" to watch the horror genre for the first time and decide to rate it. DON'T Rate it, leave the rating to people who actually watch horror movies and love them.

I don't like the romance genre, however I do watch them occasionally but I don't rate them, if it's a bad one I just sigh and go my own way... I don't go out of my way to rate something that I don't know especially a lot about or like to the extent where I need to rate it.

ANYWAY!!!
This is not the best movie out there, however it's definitely nothing below a 4.
Yes the movie could have been better IMO, however the way this movie could been better to me, is different than it would been to you. However, if it was that easy making "could have been better" movies, I would already made a million of them.

There were idiot moments in this movie that could have been done differently and better, FOR SURE, but I enjoyed it as it is with it's flaws. Had I based whether I'd watched this movie or not based on the rating, I wouldn't have watched it, luckily, I watched it before it got the idiot rating that it has now and I'm glad I watched it then.

I have nothing against remakes. So long as they're good. They give other people a chance to revisit characters and premises with their own ideas thrown into the mix. At least they should. That didn't happen here. This is the exact same movieI have nothing against remakes. So long as they're good. They give other people a chance to revisit characters and premises with their own ideas thrown into the mix. At least they should. That didn't happen here. This is the exact same movie Eli Roth made 14 years prior. Just with a gender-swapped Winston, a removal of the more risqué humor, and one or two other negligible differences.

I didn't feel like my time was wasted because I watched a movie I had already seen before, but because I watched an inferior version. Some made-for-TV rehash with terrible acting from one of the least charismatic ensemble casts ever assembled. Despite being brought to life by more modern practical effects, the gore is nowhere near as memorable. The leg shaving scene is the only thing in the movie that stands out as better than it was in the original. Everything else is markedly worse. Dustin Ingram brings a modicum of entertainment to this disaster as Bert, an already funny character, but he's no James DeBello.

I'm not usually the guy screaming that some remake shouldn't exist and I typically look down on those who do. That being said I really don't understand why this was made. There's nothing new here. No improvements, no new material, and no reason to watch it. It's a step back in every way.

Going into this movie, I had Zero expectations. I was prepared to turn it off after 15 mins of watching it. But what a surprise! It was actually interesting! I enjoyed watching it and wanted to know how it was going to end! 5 out of 10!

Why they felt the need to do a virtual shot for shot remake of the original is beyond me. There was no need for a remake at all IMO and yet they still did one. Hopefully, They learned their lesson with this bomb.

For a Horror/Comedy movie about flesh eating bacteria, it takes far too long to get to the entire point of the movie, instead slogging along for almost half the film building characters, when time would have been better spent ripping the fresh from their bones.

This should have been SIMPLE AND EASY. And yet somehow they messed it up again.

His Cannibal Holocaust homage, The Green Inferno, and his remake of an obscure Sandra Locke film, Knock Knock, both landed with resounding thuds. Now as executive producer, he's given us a direct remake of his 2002 Cabin Fever. Whereas the Evil Dead (which influenced Cabin Fever) reboot gave us the original story with twists and actual tension, Cabin Fever plays out like a community theater version of the original. What made the original memorable was it felt down and dirty, with a bit of sadistic glee and black humor. This is the most useless exercise since Gus Van Sant's color version of Psycho. This makes the upcoming Death Wish remake (another remake?!!) with Bruce Willis sounding worse and worse. Expand

This movie follows the original very closely, but seems to fail at everything along the way. The setting here seems too nice, the characters are woefully stupid, and the decisions they make are even worse. The movie isn't even consistent, with one part being a big deal because a character runs out of ammo, and in the very next scene fires it at full auto. This is an unnecessary remake that brought nothing new or better to the original. Expand

Cabin Fever is not a masterpiece and I don't think it deserved a remake. So the acting here is bad, they added a lot of bad ideas and the movie is a close copy of the entire first film.At least the practical effects and the gore were okay.

Stupid, ugly, clichéd, and uninteresting, Cabin Fever represents one of those horror films that must never be spoken in front of any sign of public. That's only if Travis Zariwny can actually step his game up and start making freshly made movies.

But worse than that are the remakes that virtually do not add or alter anything to the original film, limiting themselves to remaking it in the same way it was initially made, only worse. This is precisely what we see in this film, where Travis Zariwny made a worsened version of Eli Roth's 2002 film.

I will not waste time summarizing the plot because I think the best thing is to see the 2002 film. Both films have exactly the same story and this film went so far as to copy dialogues. I need to say more? It is not a remake... it is a copy, almost an act of plagiarism. The cast is also forgettable. Gage Golightly is only there to appear naked, Matthew Daddario and Samuel Davis have no presence and the rest just say their lines and die, in the bloodiest way possible, because that is what matters and what the public wants, the director thinks.

The film is very low budget and seems, to some extent, made to raise money or as a school test for some group of film students. Everything stinks of amateurism in this dull and revolting film that is so unnecessary. Not even the actors' effects and makeup work, everything seems fake and artificial, or exaggerated to the limit. Decidedly, a movie to avoid.

i dont understand why they made a remake. there was a 3rd sequel to this just 2 years prior to this one. i mean they pretty much copied dam near word for word of the original movie with minor changes. also scene for scene as the original. youi dont understand why they made a remake. there was a 3rd sequel to this just 2 years prior to this one. i mean they pretty much copied dam near word for word of the original movie with minor changes. also scene for scene as the original. you had a decent cast here. you couldnt just come up with your own script. It was was really pointless to make this film other than stealing someone elses movie to make money off it. Expand

Where the friendly producers pretend they are not some sick parasitic cultural termites incubating in America's subconscious mind to shepard thousands of years of bloodlust mixed with more blood and yes more gallons of blood; all on the flimsy pretext of art, fantasy and scripted legal 1st Amendment doggrel. Did I forget anything? Well, how about sado-masochistic sexual innuendo for those who need it most...an added lift to the menu of visual pleasure. Oh, and by the way this virus, er...national icon Eli Roth - - safe as the dual role of savior and 5th columnist, a psychological Freudian icon in wholesome home spun Uber Eats mindful of the garden psychos and normal citizens alike who ponder the million dollar question: why does the USA have a crime problem in the first place??
