The fine actor Moritz Bleibtreu leads the way here as a Holocaust survivor living in a U.S. Displaced Persons Camp (who even knew they existed?), amid the rubble of post-war Frankfurt, Germany. He will rally other survivors into joining himThe fine actor Moritz Bleibtreu leads the way here as a Holocaust survivor living in a U.S. Displaced Persons Camp (who even knew they existed?), amid the rubble of post-war Frankfurt, Germany. He will rally other survivors into joining him in a linen business, so they can successfully emigrate to Palestine or America. However, he is also under investigation by a U.S. Special Agent (the striking Antje Traue) for possible collaboration with the Nazis. I thought the movie combined humor and tragedy effectively, for the most part, but the film does leave some key plot elements unanswered. Overall, though, I found the movie to be quite clever, original, and engaging. Expand
