It would have been nice to understand how the German officer knew about them taking the body, but their motivation made sense to try and continue the devastating legacy left by Hitler. The dialogue between languages was a bit muddled unless you have captions on from which it will tell you what language was being spoken. I get not everyone can do an accent, but it’s nice when they do so you have an understanding of who is who. That leads me to one of the biggest realizations. “Being surrounded by wolves…” was such a gut-wrenching idea. Whether it was the Germans coming in and taking over or the Russians after, coming in and blaming innocent people of “helping”, you see the fog of war and the danger of people taking a moral high ground simply because their side held the gun and had the power. Tor had it right. Victory is not clear cut in a war like we have today. All these other critics like to point out faults in the movie, but for what it was and the budget, I really enjoyed it. It once again proves you don’t need a a-list cast or an over-the-top budget to make a good movie. I hope this encourages the lowest of us to pick up an iPhone and create. Expand
