A Lesbian love story disguised as a Rocky clone. Really bad dialogue and acting. Avoid at all costs!

It’s no Raging Bull or Creed, but there’s enough good drama and fight scenes to be worthy of a watch.

It is quite an amazing and incredible drama story. This is probably one of his best films and one of the most touching and powerful movies combining the genre of sports element with a human drama. Halle Berry should get an Oscar for her performance as a master of her craft both behind and in front of the camera in this emotional story. Each and every actor brings their own well defined character that makes the film a one of a kind masterpiece...even to the young child Manny that does not speak but exhumes so much feeling and emotions throughout his performance. It will move you beyond words!!! Expand

She embraces it with dedicationHalle Berry plays a disgraced MMA fighter who has to make a comeback and she’s tackled this warts-and-all role with gusto as a vehicle for her to get grungy, dark and show off some impressive physical skills. She embraces it with dedication that’s magnified by the fact that this is her first feature as a director. Her cast of supporting actors amplifies her performance, especially Danny Boyd (so touching as her 6-year-old son), Shelia Atim (her meditating trainer) and Adriane Lenox (her prickly mother). The script is painfully predictable, every scene goes on too long and the tears flow continuously. As a result, the performances (and the brutal final fight) are the only reason to see it. Expand

Few points for Valentina Shevchenko, one point for Halle Berry - she trained well and looked like she can actually fight, choreography was fine.

The woman is trying to impose herself on the child and has to return to the fight. But her life is getting more and more difficult with each passing day. It's nice so far. But I can say that it is Hale Berry's most mediocre movie. Because she neither keeps that drama alive nor can she give that ambition. The most beautiful thing in the movie is the innocence of the child. E netflix production, but not the same kind of relationship? Of course it will. The final fight does not meet the expectation at all. Expand

Miss Ohio 1986 is 165cm tall and was born in 1966: when she is not a Marvel or DC Comics superheroine (for 2004's "Catwoman" she was awarded the Razzie Award for Worst Actress of the year), she slings into more demanding roles where she does not disdain to exhibit her body as a model topless: in 2001 both in "Swordfish" and in "Monster's Ball", with which she won the Silver Bear in Berlin and the Academy Award for Best Actress, and in her 2021 directorial debut where she stars as an MMA fighter. "Rocky" in a female version and at 55 years old: even more stereotyped and sci-fi.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Terrible movie. Don't waste your time. Halle berry a 54 year old woman playing a 30 something MMA/UFC rip off fighter, and she can't pull it off. The fighting all the way through from training to the big fight at the predictable end is totally unbelievable. Expand

Bruised is great on a technical aspect, and Halle Berry made it watchable, but the writing needs some training.
