This seemed to me like a supernatural type folk tale, a little bit like Sleep Hollow. The rural and historical setting made me think of the series Outlander. The rural and historical setting made me think of the series Outlander. It is certainly somewhat dark in terms of both lighting and tone and there are some impressive fight scenes, including hand to hand combat. At times there are some pretty decent special effects too. However, I felt a little confused by the plot development and I was a bit lost half way through, about what precisely had happened. It wasn't quite as compelling a watch as I'd hoped but its not an entirely bad film, its about average overall I suppose. I wouldn't recommend going out of your way to see this as such but if its shown and it sounds interesting then it may be worth a look, nothing more.… Expand
