Bridesmaids

A smart funny writing filled with semi-comic sequences surprisingly not irrelevant making the audience rooted for the characters; Bridesmaids is a done deal.

Why does every comedy after Judd Apatow have to be at least two hours long? 80 minutes would have been perfect. It's bridesmaids **** themselves, not "The Godfather".

Bridesmaids is an unexpectedly poignant and fascinating glimpse into the life of women while maintaining a degree of filth that is on par with boy's adult comedy.

I liked it way more than I thought I would. McCarthy is the star of the show here, and I’m glad she was rewarded with an Oscar nomination for her performance. 10 years on and I still think this is one of the best films of the ensemble cast comedy genre. Its witty and fast paced but still has a heart. The characters are charming and believable and the film portrays each individual with thought; each archetype goes beyond simply being in the story to assist the plot, it is evident that each character has it's own story. The character of Helen is excellent and serves as the "love to hate" character, and Kristen Wiig's Annie is the perfect underdog character, but not without her own flaws. This is a must watch, and deserves to be rated amongst classic comedies.… Expand
